🎃🐾 Happy Howl-o-Ween from Blue Ravine Animal Hospital! 👻🧡

Things got a little spooky (and a whole lot of silly!) around the hospital today! 😂🐶

Some of our team members got into the Halloween spirit and traded in their everyday looks for some creative costumes! From familiar characters to a few furry friends joining in on the festivities, there was plenty of Halloween fun to go around! 🧙‍♀️🕵️‍♀️🎃

We love finding little ways to have fun, share some laughs, and bring a little extra excitement to our workday! ❤️

Wishing all our wonderful clients and their four-legged family members a safe, fun, and treat-filled Halloween! 🐾🍬

Keep the tricks, skip the toxic treats! 🙅‍♂️🐶🐱

Halloween candy is a sweet reward for humans, but it can be incredibly dangerous for our pets. From the toxicity of chocolate and xylitol (sugar-free sweetener) to the choking hazards of plastic wrappers, a single dropped fun-size bar can lead to an emergency.

Your pets shouldn't eat your Halloween candy! Keep the stash securely hidden on a high shelf or inside a closed pantry.

If your pet manages to sneak a treat, give us a call immediately. We're here to keep your furry friends safe and healthy this spooky season! 📞🎃

🐾💙 Officer Luke reporting for duty! 🐢🚔

K9 Officer Luke stopped by Blue Ravine Animal Hospital and during his exam made a very important discovery… a brand-new turtle toy! 🐢💙

He was SO proud of his new find and couldn't wait to show it off! Just look at that sweet face! 🥹🐾

We think it's safe to say this turtle has officially been taken into custody! 😂🚔💙

Our pets can’t speak, but their bloodwork can. 🐾🩸

Because our furry family members can't tell us when they aren't feeling well, routine blood tests act as their voice. Bloodwork allows our veterinary team to look beneath the surface, catch hidden health issues early, and ensure your pet stays happy and healthy.

From checking organ function to screening for infections, it’s one of the best ways to practice preventive care.
Have your pets had their annual wellness blood check yet? 🩺✨

🎃🐾 Don't forget to enter our Howl-o-Ween Costume Contest on the original post! 👻🐶🐱 It is pinned for easy access!

There's still time to show off your pet's spooktacular costume for a chance to win some FUN prizes! 🏆🎁

📸 Submit your pet's costume photo, and don't forget to LIKE your favorites! ❤️ Every like counts!

We can't wait to see all your adorable, spooky, and creative costumes! 🧡🖤🐾

🐾💙 It's RVT Spotlight Time! 💙🐾

We've shared what it takes to become an RVT, and now it's time to meet the people behind the credentials!

Say hello to our amazing Registered Veterinary Technicians! 🩺🐶🐱

10/23/2026

We're wrapping up the week by recognizing our incredible Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) here at Blue Ravine Animal Hospital! 🩺🐶🐱

Ever wonder what it takes to become an RVT? It's more than just a love for animals!

🎓 Education: Complete an approved veterinary technology program or qualify through California's alternate pathway.

🩺 Hands-On Experience: Develop skills in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, laboratory work, radiology, emergency care, and more!

📚 Examinations: Pass the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) and meet California's licensing requirements.

📋 Registration: Complete the state's application, fingerprinting, and background-check requirements.

But beyond the education and credentials, being an RVT takes critical thinking, compassion, teamwork, and dedication!

These skilled professionals play an essential role in providing quality care for your furry family members every day. 🐾

Not all heroes wear capes—some wear scrubs and have pockets full of treats. 🩺🐶🐱

Happy Veterinary Technician Week! Vet techs are the ultimate multitaskers, medical professionals, and patient advocates all rolled into one. They keep clinics running smoothly and ensure our beloved pets receive the absolute best care.
