🚨 CLINIC ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨
It is with equal parts pride, excitement, and mild panic that we announce the departure of our beloved Surgical Veterinary Assistant, Ostilia.
After two incredible years of keeping surgeries running smoothly, patients safe, doctors organized, and the rest of us at least somewhat functional, Ostilia is heading off to take over Bark Bark in Downtown Durango!
While two years may not sound like a lifetime, anyone who has worked with Ostilia knows she managed to pack a lifetimes' worth of dedication, compassion, expertise, and laughter into that time.
As our Surgical Veterinary Assistant, she mastered the art of anticipating what everyone needed before they knew they needed it. She cared for countless patients as if they were her own, handled surgical days with grace under pressure, and somehow managed to make even the busiest days better simply by being here.
The truth is, some people fill a position. Ostilia became part of the foundation.
We are genuinely thrilled for her next adventure. Bark Bark is gaining a rockstar Owner, an animal advocate, and one of the hardest-working people we've ever had the privilege to work alongside.
As for us? We're currently accepting applications for a Surgical Veterinary Assistant.
Requirements include:
• Ability to be in three places at once.
• Mind-reading preferred but not required.
• Must love animals, coworkers, and controlled chaos.
• Must remain calm when surgery schedules explode.
• Must possess an excellent sense of humor.
• Must somehow be Ostilia.
We understand this may be an unrealistic hiring profile (but we are actively looking).
To our clients: thank you for trusting Ostilia with your pets over the past two years.
To our patients: thank you for always making her smile.
To Ostilia: thank you for every early morning, every late evening, every extra effort, every laugh, and every animal whose life was better because you were part of their care team.
You leave behind a clinic full of people who adore you and a hole that can't really be filled—though we'll certainly try.
Congratulations on this exciting new chapter. We're here to help in anyway we can.
We'll miss you immensely, we're proud of you beyond words, and we're keeping your parking spot open just in case you decide to come back.
