We have received many calls this week regarding a kitten that was thrown from a moving vehicle on Sunday. The kitten suffered head trauma (visible in the first photo) from this unfortunate incident, but thanks to the quick action of the Good Samaritan who brought him to us and Dr. Natasha's compassionate and expert care, Ricky (as he is now called) is doing MUCH better! Than you to the multiple members of our community who made donations to cover the cost of care that Ricky received this week; while it's heartbreaking that Ricky was treated so poorly, the response from our community has reaffirmed that there is a LOT of good in the world. No further donations are needed for Ricky's care at this time. We are happy to share that he has been adopted into a loving family that will treat him like a king for the rest of his life 🐱

This precious kitten greeted our Riverview North staff before they even walked into the building this morning -- she was hiding by the recycling cans! Luckily, our amazing RVT Megs spotted her and brought her inside for some TLC. If this kitten belongs to you (or you know who she belongs to), please let us know 🐱

We do whatever it takes! When this Husky named Wemi saw Dr. Karen for a dental procedure last week, she was very vocal about being in a kennel all by herself. Our amazing RVT Randi came to her rescue, crawled in her kennel, and started charting right alongside her. She was a happy camper after that ❤

We are so proud to be one of a handful of hospitals nationwide taking part in a study on the efficacy a new medication in cats with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)! We are hoping that this study will result in improved quality of life and lifespan for cats with this condition. If you know a cat with CKD, send them our way 🐱
