10-year-old gelding looking for his next person! 🩵

He is a finished barrel horse who has also been played with on poles and worked cattle. He has the potential to be a 1D horse with the right rider — I have personally run him in the 1D/2D a few times. He is athletic, talented, and has plenty of ability when he has the right partnership.
He is definitely a one-person type of horse and loves having his person’s attention on him. As a trainer with 12+ horses in my program every day, I simply can’t give him the individual attention he thrives on, and I feel he deserves someone who can.
Outside of the arena, he is an absolute pleasure. Trail rides all day, loves to get out, and loves everyone. He’s a fun, versatile gelding with a lot of potential for someone looking to take him to the next level.

There’s a reason a genuinely broke, sound horse for $𝟕𝐤 is hard to find.

It’s not because nobody knows where the cheap horses are. The math just doesn’t work very often.

Let’s say hypothetically you already own the mare and you have the following invested..

$𝟏,𝟓𝟎𝟎 stud fee
(this is CHEAP btw)

~$𝟏,𝟎𝟎𝟎 reproductive vet work

~$𝟒,𝟖𝟎𝟎 to feed and care for that horse for 2 years

~$𝟔𝟎𝟎 in farrier work

$𝟑,𝟎𝟎𝟎 for 60 days of training

You’re at roughly $𝟏𝟎,𝟗𝟎𝟎 before you’ve even accounted for a single unexpected expense or any training past the very basics.

And that’s assuming the mare catches on the first try, no sickness, no injury, no complications..

So when you find a broke, sound, useful horse for $𝟕𝐤, there’s a good chance someone is taking a loss.

Those situations absolutely exist. But let’s not confuse a desperate seller’s price with market value.
