The shop has been very busy and therefore I haven't posted much lately. There has been some really cool projects come through the door, including this one. Any guesses on what species this is?

Good luck to all of the youth hunters this weekend! Send a message or give us a call if you'd like to preserve that memory forever!

This photo shows a good representation of raccoon color phases. If you've ever harvested a color phase raccoon, please share in the comments!

Have a bear hide in the freezer or going on a hunt this spring? Give us a call or send a message to get it tanned! The key to getting a nice, soft bear hide back requires good care in the field and careful thinning in the shop, as you can see in the second photo.

Another one to look out for this weekend at the Iowa Deer Classic. It will be on display at the Midwest Whitetail booth!

As always, seeing the finished mount makes the hours in the shop a little more rewarding.

Being on the tanning side of things, you rarely get to see the finished product. Thanks for trusting me to tan a truly once in a lifetime deer!

Here are a couple elk that were recently finished up. It's been a busy season and we greatly appreciate everyone that has brought hides in or recommended our work to others. Without you, this wouldn't be possible!

A couple fun projects recently finished up and shipped to Colorado.

We just hit 1,000 followers, what a way to bring in the new year!

What started as a hobby has quickly turned into something much more than that. A big thank you to everyone that has supported this journey. Without you, none of this is possible. Here’s to 2026!

Pictured below is a Hawaii Axis deer that was recently completed.
