Have you wanted to host a clinic at your barn?

This year, we are opening our clinic schedule up to offer clinics at your barn! Below find information on the clinics we are available to offer. If there is another topic you're interested in, we're happy to chat about tailoring a clinic to your needs!

Fire Evacuation Clinic
No one ever wants to have to evacuate their property, but unfortunately fire season is becoming worse in Colorado and a successful and safe evacuation requires early planning, preparation, and practice.

Our team has years of experience in planning for and handling evacuations. In this clinic, we’ll walk you through the process of finding and communicating with resources to help you evacuate, how to plan an evacuation from your property and special things to consider in different scenarios, as well as do a trailer loading demonstration and talk about trailer safety and inspections.

Dressage Show Prep Clinic
Are you thinking about showing but aren’t sure where to start? We'll everything you need to know to confidently go to your first dressage show.

This clinic is designed to help riders feel prepared, organized, and confident before your next show. Whether it’s your first show or you just want to feel more organized, we’ll walk you through the entire process.

Lunging for Safety and Connection
I get to shows and see the lunging warm-up ring full of bucking, pulling, and wild behavior. Lunging shouldn’t be about winding your horse up even more.

I want to show you my techniques for using lunging to help get your horse’s brain with you, more focused and attentive, instead of more reactive and stressed. The goal is to use lunging as a tool for safety, communication, and getting your horse tuned in to you before you get on. I will give riders the tools and skills they need to feel safe and confident lunging their horse. 🐎

Managing a Spooky Horse at a Show
Do you struggle at shows when your horse spooks during your test or won’t even go in the ring?

We will set up a “ride a test” scenario — spooky style. This will simulate the kinds of things that can happen at shows so riders can practice handling them in a supportive environment. We’ll talk about how to manage your test, when it’s appropriate to school, and when it’s better to avoid an issue and keep riding your test.

The goal is to help riders stay confident, make smart decisions in the moment, and keep their test together even when things don’t go perfectly. 🐎

Feel & Timing Clinic
Do you…
• Struggle to get your horse to respond the way you thought you asked?
• Wonder if the way you move or use your aids is unbalancing your horse?
• Want to improve your communication—on the ground or in the saddle—without frustrating your horse or yourself?

I created this unique, hands-on experience to help you feel what your horse feels. No horse is required—you’ll be up, moving, and doing exercises that reveal how timing, pressure, and energy really work.

We’ll start with a 30-minute demo and discussion, then jump into interactive exercises that will change the way you work with your horse forever.
*This clinic can be turned into a 3 part series.

I’ve had a lot of people asking about Niguel, so here’s the update.

The CT results are in. The good news is nothing is broken. Honestly, when I found him that day, I would have bet my life there was no way something wasn’t shattered. My brain immediately went to “the vet is coming to put him down.” It was that bad. So as crazy as it sounds, every day I get with him right now feels like a gift.

The bad news is he did a pretty impressive job tearing up a bunch of ligaments in his left front pastern. The joint is unstable, there’s a lot of inflammation, and it’s definitely not a simple injury. We also found some arthritis and a bone bruise, but the ligament damage is the biggest issue.

It’s a tough pill to swallow because we were literally getting ready to go do the I-1. I had just texted Karen to get over to Nighthawk so we could run through everything. We had plans. Niguel felt amazing. Then in about five minutes our whole season changed.

One option that’s on the table is eventually fusing the joint, but right now we’re just trying to get through the next step and see what he tells us. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from this horse, it’s that he doesn’t care much about predictions.

Thank you to everyone who’s reached out, checked on us, cried with me, brainstormed ideas, and offered support. A huge thank you to Heritage for showing up while I was a complete mess and helping me figure out a plan. And thank you Steve and Nell for all the help, support, ideas, and for always answering the phone when things go sideways.

I don’t know exactly what the future looks like for Niguel right now, but I do know he’s one hell of a horse and we’re not done fighting for him.

Do you want to ride the spiciest thing around? 🌶️

Ballerina is available for lease—but only for the right person.

Her trot is bouncy, and at times she’s a little like riding a baby deer. Just kidding… but also not. 😆

Ballerina is a fun, talented mare with a lot to offer the right rider. I’m looking for an older youth or amateur rider interested in western disciplines such as trail, ranch riding, and ranch pleasure.

This is a half-care lease that includes 2–3 lessons per week, with the potential opportunity to show her next year.

She’s not for everyone, but for the rider who appreciates a little extra personality and wants a horse to grow with, she could be a fantastic match.

Message me for more information and to see if you’d be a good fit!

What a fun show! Thank you, CoWN!

I can’t begin to tell everyone how proud I am of all of you. This weekend was so much fun, and it was incredible to see everyone’s hard work paying off.

Emily and Annie — you absolutely killed it! A few weeks ago you could hardly canter, and now you just keep improving every ride. Earning a 3rd-place finish was so well deserved.

Maryann and Ash — you guys did amazing. It was so much fun to see the potential you have as a team. I’ve truly enjoyed helping you both and watching your progress.

Alessandra, Rain, and Ballerina — you guys were fantastic. Rain has turned into a completely different horse: calm, relaxed, and confident. And you did an amazing job on Ballerina, who is never the easiest horse to show.

Andrew and Husker — what a debut! A 2nd-place finish at your very first show is something to be proud of. You both handled yourselves so well and have a bright future ahead.

I’m incredibly proud of every horse and rider. The ribbons are great, but what makes me happiest is seeing the growth, confidence, and teamwork that all of you showed this weekend. Thank you all for your hard work, trust, and for making this such a fun and memorable show. ❤️🐴🏆
