I know I’ve been radio silent on here the last few months, and yes, I’m still plugging away starting c**ts, and helping wrecked ponies. I’ve been hard at work through the end of winter, into spring, and now into summer, and have had a numerous amount of outside horses come through the facility leaving me not a whole lot of time to post on here, which in all reality is my least favorite part of the job anyways.
The horse in this picture is called Farrah, she is a 13 year old mustang found at a kill pen in Kansas who we really don’t know a whole about. I’m able now to halter her and get up close to read her brand, so I’ll be able to decipher that herd code here shortly. She’s coming right along, and feels very comfortable in the company of a saddle horse, hence why I’m mounted here. We’ve been working on some leading and other gentling tactics, and boy she’s a smart mare! It’s a shame that she sat for so long forgotten about, and unhandled. Keep your eye out for this one she’s gonna make a horse.
