Mr. Sherlock, aka Nuzzles, is over at the Refillary and is still looking for a home. He is a delightful kitty who loves everyone, come meet him at the shelter! 😺❤

Mr. Sherlock, also known as Nuzzles by his foster family, was surrendered to us when his owners couldn't care for him any longer. He is 11 years old, but don't let his age fool you, he still has pep in his paws. Nuzzles loves being where the action is and will seek out people for pets, scratches, and play. He will sit on your lap at times or nap by himself. When he feels left out, he will be vocal. He likes to chase his fishing rod toy around in circles until dinner time.

Nuzzles has done well with meeting new people. He liked playing with the kiddo in his foster home and liked when kids visited him too. He does well with the other kitties and uses the litter box perfectly! He is on a special urinary diet to keep him healthy. 🐾🥹

Bumble is a stunning kitty in need of a quiet and understanding home that'll help her blossom into her wonderful self! 😺🐝

Bumble is a beautiful 3-year-old calico who came to us from a feral colony. Out of her group, she’s made the most social progress, and we’re so proud of how far she’s come. Though still very shy and easily startled, Bumble is non-aggressive and will accept gentle pets once she begins to feel safe.

She spends much of her day tucked into a cozy hidey bed, but with patience, a soft voice, and maybe a few treats, she can be gently lured out for calm, quiet interactions.

Bumble needs a peaceful, understanding home with an experienced cat owner who knows how to help shy cats continue building trust. Her gentle spirit and willingness to try make her a truly special companion for someone who values slow, meaningful connections.

Meadow Adoption Update! 🥳🐾

Meadow, now Birdie, was transferred to us from Texas. She was an adorable and loveable kitten and, to no surprise, found a home in no time. Heres an update from her family!:

"I changed her name to Birdie and the introduction to my other cat went great! They are besties and love to cuddle and play. She came out of her shell almost instantly and is extremely friendly when meeting new people. Her favorite thing in the world is to play fetch(I’m not so sure how she taught herself that)and there is constantly a toy being dropped at my feet! Overall, I just wanted to thank you guys for the opportunity to adopt her. She has found a loving forever home and I couldn’t be more grateful!"

Join RMFR and the Rotary Club Denver Metro South on Friday June 27th 4-pm at Lone Tree Brewing Company for a beer while supporting the cats and kittens of Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue 501(C)(3)!

We will have cat merchandise for sale, silent auctions, a raffle, light snacks and a chance for small talk with other fans of felines. If you'd like to bring a gift for the kitties in our care, we could use Purina Pro Plan food - dry or wet, kitten and adult. ✨

Miss Puffette is a stunning ball of fluff in need of an understanding and experienced cat owner's home! 😺🐾

Puffette is a gorgeous, long-haired black cat with the soul of a survivor. Rescued from a feral colony, she’s still learning to trust humans – and every day, she makes a little more progress.

At first, Puffette may greet you with a hiss and choose to hide, but with patience, she’ll cautiously accept gentle head pets (torso is a no-go for now, thank you very much!). She’s not the cuddly type… yet – but we know there’s a sweetheart in there, just waiting for the right person to help her feel safe.

Puffette is very curious and has started exploring her surroundings more and more. If she gets spooked, she might zoom around in a burst of panic – but give her space and she'll settle down again quickly. She’s a pro with the litter box and keeps herself beautifully groomed.

Like many cats from feral backgrounds, Puffette absolutely adores other cats and would thrive in a home with a confident feline friend. In fact, we’d prefer she be adopted into a home that already has a cat, or with a bonded buddy, to help her continue coming out of her shell.

Puffette needs an experienced cat owner who understands the language of shy cats and can offer her the calm, stable environment she deserves. With time, patience, and love, we believe this scared little fluff will blossom into a loyal companion.

Valero is a handsome, outgoing, and playful kitty in need of a home! 😺🐾❤

Valero is a 3-year-old black and white gentleman with a curious spirit. He’s a quiet adventurer at heart – always on the lookout for a new nook to explore or a cozy spot to settle in for a thoughtful nap. He loves getting pets when he’s in the mood and will soak up affection like a pro… then gracefully wander off when he's had his fill. Total cool-cat energy.

Valero gets along with other cats, though he does have a little sassy side – if a roommate starts drama, he’s more likely to walk away than throw paws. He’s all about keeping the peace on his own terms. He enjoys playing with other energetic cats.

Medical Note: Valero had a small skin and eye infection in the past, but thanks to a special diet, he’s made a great recovery and is looking and feeling much better! We recommend that his future adopter continue the special diet or consult with their vet to make sure Valero stays healthy and happy.

If you’re looking for a mellow, independent companion with just the right mix of affection and self-assurance, Valero might be your perfect match.

From rainbow feathers to tiny top hats, we had an absolute blast crafting fabulous feline fashion while celebrating Pride and supporting rescue cats. Every hat made helps bring attention (and hopefully forever homes!) to the amazing kitties in our care.

Boba and Jango are two wonderful boys currently in foster who are in need of a fur-ever home on the quiet side! 😺❤😺

Boba and Jango were surrendered to us a few months ago, after their owner was no longer able to care for them. It took them a while to warm up in foster, but they are now doing fantastic and are ready for their fur-ever home! Boba is the tabby and Jango the grey and white, they are both 6 years old.

Here is what their foster has to say about them:

"Boba and Jango are a well-behaved bonded pair, they are skittish and need a calm home. Boba is the brains of the operation, while all of Jango's genetic assets went into his extra claws. Jango tends to wait for his brother to do something first, so that he knows it's safe, except for meal times when he likes to get first dibs on the wet food.

After breakfast and dinner they love to play. Jango likes to chase ribbons and get a bit of cardio, while Boba prefers stalking and pouncing. Both cats will cuddle on their own terms - Boba will sit in a lap or offer his tummy for rubs, while Jango will only approach once everyone is perfectly still."

Boba and Jango would do best in a home without dogs or kids. They use the litter box perfectly! ❤

Bitty is looking for a home as special as her! She needs to be the only pet and in a home without kids. 😺🐾

Bitty is a 6-year-old sweetheart currently thriving in her foster home. At home, she’s a gentle, affectionate cat who loves nothing more than curling up in her foster mom’s lap, soaking up pets, and lounging in sunny spots around the house. While Bitty’s heart is full of love, she does get very stressed during vet visits and in unfamiliar environments, where her fear can make her act defensively. Because of this, she’s looking for a patient, understanding adopter who will give her time to feel safe and secure.

Bitty would do best as the only pet in a calm, adult-only home where she can be the center of attention. With a little patience, she will reward you with endless snuggles and a loyal companionship like no other. 🥹
