Meet Chadwick 🐆

This beautiful Bengal boy is a gentle and affectionate cat looking for his peaceful forever home. Don’t let his shy demeanor fool you; this stunning cat will surprise you with bursts of playful energy, loves a tall scratching post, and loves attention once he’s had time to grow comfortable with you.

He’s also a scent savant, who loves the smell of colognes or perfumes. Let’s face it, with a coat like that, he is destined for a luxurious lifestyle 💅

Chadwick will need to be the only cat in your home, as for some reason other cats tend to bully him. He would do well in a home with dogs, so long as they aren’t huskies due to a scary past encounter. Though he has had a few homes in his life, he is ready to settle down forever and leave his past behind him for a life of peace.

MaxFund has always been supported by an incredible, impassioned community of animal lovers. Proof of this was furthered in the last 5 days, as so many of you donated towards the No Empty Bowls campaign.
Pickup starts today for those who need cat, kitten, puppy, or dog food during this time. Stop by the respective dog and cat shelters if you are in need of food assistance for your pet.

Happy National Black Cat Day 🐈‍⬛

Did you know MaxFund doesn’t adopt black cats during the month of October?🎃

In order to ensure all our adoptable animals find their true companions, we don’t adopt out all-black or all-white cats during the month of October. Our goal is to find our needy animals safe forever homes, not play the numbers for the convenience of a holiday.

Additionally, the novelty of the black cat’s association with witchcraft and superstition are also the very reason these beautiful panther kitties get adopted at a lower rate. So, on this special Black Cat Day, we urge you to visit us, next week! These stunning cats have so much love to give to their true companions.

Volunteer to Fall in Love with Dumplin’ ♥️✨

Dumplin’ is a beautiful 9-year-old pitbull and a volunteer favorite who originally came to MaxFund more than 4 years ago as a stray. She is still awaiting her true companion to adopt her, could it be you?

When she first came to us, she was very weary of people and very protective of her boundaries. Luckily, over time she’s begun to let more people in. She is a mellow girl and doesn’t need to be in a super active home but will need to be the only pet in her future home. Her true companion is confident, patient, and has experience working with dogs. Ideally, her future home also has a yard where she can sunbathe and play in the snow.

She can still be slow to warm up to new people, but once you’re in her inner circle, she is your buddy for life! Her potential adopter must be committed to making sure she is comfortable with them by visiting the shelter multiple times. Give this girl the spoiled home life she deserves 🏡♥️
