This week we’re featuring Doug, who loves the sunshine, working in the soil, and watching things grow! This year, his big focus is onions and flowers 🪻🐝

Being a Farmette helps him keep his mind on an even keel, while also providing physical benefits. According to him..”what’s not to love?!”

Meet one of our Veggie Ambassadors, Beth! 🥬🍅

"Hi my name is Beth. I am a resident of College View neighborhood in Denver. My journey with The Table Urban Farm began last summer. I had been watching an empty plot of land, that I passed by almost daily, begin to transform into a wonderful community garden and my curiosity was definitely peaked. By chance I was invited to the garden's dedication. I was immediately impressed with The Table's mission to grow food to feed people, educate and bring the community together. I was hooked! It is a privilege to be able to volunteer and assist in furthering the mission by becoming an ambassador. I'm so thankful to all the wonderful people who make this happen."

🚨 Big news - our Veggie Bike is returning! The community is welcome to come and enjoy some of our harvest this Saturday at 10am at . This is a great opportunity to learn more about what we do and connect with your community.

The bike will be at Table Public House's big summer market with over 18 local vendors, live music, raffle giveaways, and more. It runs from 10am to 3pm on Saturday. Hope to see you there! 🚲🫑

Last week was full of good company and even better planting 🌱

Huge thanks to our community volunteers, neighbors, a crew from Cherry Creek, and officers from District 4 for showing up and digging in. We got 1,200 plants in the ground - flowers, herbs, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and more!

Huge thanks to everyone who came out to the annual Grows Plant & Seed Giveaway a few weeks ago! 🌱

The turnout was incredible, and we loved seeing so many of you walk away with peppers, tomatoes, herbs, flowers, and all kinds of garden inspiration. We hope your gardens are full of great things this season.

It’s Friday, and we’re featuring another one of our Farmettes! 🤩

🐝 Meet Donna. She’s been a CSU master gardener since 2012, not only growing fruits and vegetables, but also providing a great pollinator space with her perennials, wildflower meadow, and orchard at the “Sunny Big Farmette.” 🐝

This will be her 4th year supporting the Table as a Farmette. This year, she’s focused on carrots and cabbage. One thing she loves about the Farmette program is that she’s able to continue her 12-year mission of helping others by supporting local food pantries with all the goodies grown at her own property! 🥕

Our lettuces are springing up beautifully this season - crisp, fresh, and full of flavor - and we’re excited to be sharing the harvest with our community through the Veggie Cooler at !

Our gardens are absolutely thriving thanks to the care and dedication of our volunteers. As always, much of what we grow is available to everyone, regardless of ability to pay. The Veggie Cooler operates on a simple philosophy: take what you need, give what you can.

We believe that sharing food is a powerful way to build connection. We hope when you're in our gardens or at our Table, you feel a sense of belonging, nourishment, and grace.

One of our favorite ways to use all this beautiful spring lettuce we've grown? Lettuce wraps! They're a perfect no-cook (or low-cook) dinner - especially when you’re using greens fresh from our garden. You can grab some lettuce from our Veggie Cooler at - it’s available to everyone, no matter your ability to pay. Take what you need, give what you can.

Here are 4 easy lettuce wrap ideas to mix up your dinners this week:

🥕 Chicken & Carrot - Shredded rotisserie chicken with grated carrot, green onion, a splash of soy sauce, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds

🍄 Garlic Mushroom & Quinoa - Sautéed mushrooms with garlic and thyme over quinoa and topped with a squeeze of lemon

🌮 Spiced Black Bean & Turkey - Seasoned black beans and ground turkey with cumin, corn, and red pepper - topped with avocado and lime.

🥬 Crunchy Slaw & Peanut Sauce - Shredded cabbage and carrot slaw with a creamy peanut dressing, a squeeze of lime, and sriracha
