We have a update on Hunter.
His his blood tests came back liver values are normal.
Yay!!!
We will be reviewing the applications we have gotten in on him and will be taking back ip applications until Thursday.
Here is his bio from his foster:
Hunter
Happy Hunter is an easy going social guy. He will be happy to play with kids and other dogs. He is always ready for a walk. He holds his own leash for the first part. He is great meeting new people and likes to greet people on the walk. He is a good communicator and snuggler. He would love to sleep in your bed with you and snuggle under the blankets. He wants to be with his people. He quickly settles in. Figured out the dog doors with no issue. Fully potty trained.

Things to note…
He sleeps in a kennel in our bedroom at night and goes in with no issue
He gets excited at the front door or when he hears things outside but only for a few seconds.
He is NOT street aware.
He does pull on the leash and marks a lot… insistent
He is not a beggar for food.
He will let anyone hold him.
He really wants to be near you

His vet bills are already at $3,800. Your donations make lifesaving care like this possible. As always we are so grateful for our donors.

It’s hard to believe that 10 years ago today we had our first adoption event.

It has been a an absolute privilege to help almost 380 doxies and doxie mixes over ten years.
We could not have done it without our wonderful volunteers or you.

We have a update on Hunter
He has had his dental and we are waiting for final bloodwork results to make sure all of his blood levels have leveled out from pre-operative surgery.
If it’s all good, he will be looking for his forever home.

Due to his his abscess tooth, we feel that we needed to get another blood panel a month postop to make sure that we are all good with him healthwise.

Dental disease can cause some funky readings with blood work so we want to redo it when he is completely healed and everything has left his system.

The best news is he will be at the races at Breckenridge brewery farmhouse this Saturday and we will be taking applications on him.

He is a real love bug, good with dogs, good with kids, good with people, good just good everywhere. Housebroken just a sweet sweet love.
He will be hanging out with us at the Doxy market saying hello to everyone he meets. Stop by and say hi.

We have an update on Mr. Max.

He has been neutered and is healed from the neuter. However for some reason, he has started to have a blood in his urine.
He has had a complete urinalysis and we have ruled out any kind of bladder infection.

We are determined to find out what the cause of this so we have ordered x-rays and ultrasound to find out if we have a bladder stone that could be the reason for this condition to be persistent
The x-ray will rule out any tumors that may be present as well.

Will keep you updated on his condition soon
