Hi everyone! We can’t believe it’s been over a month since we officially closed the store. It’s been a difficult process, but we’ve been spending the last few weeks enjoying time with our new residents and getting our online website ready for you all.

We wanted to provide everyone with a little update of life after Just Cats. As you may already know, all of our kitties in the Just Cats - Cat Cottage were adopted! We stay in touch with everyone and we hear that everyone has been doing very well in their new homes.

We also wanted to let everyone know that Nicole officially adopted Sophie and Mackenzie! It’s crazy, but Nicole now has 3 female ginger cats, LOL. Sophie and Mackenzie have been adjusting very well in their new home. Mackenzie watches bird tv from her throne and Sophie has a new cat tree that she hangs out in and has loved her new animal siblings - cats, chickens and a bunny named Chaz.

Our online store is currently up and running for you to purr-chase all of your cat needs! We are in the process of restocking our favorite and best-selling products. In the meantime, if you would like to special order any food, litter, toys and treats, send us a DM! Our intentions is to continue to provide all of your cat needs on a weekly or bi-monthly basis and deliver your goods at NO CHARGE on specific Saturdays of the month. For non-bulky items, we offer low cost shipping across the US!

Even though the Just Cats - Cat Cottage may be closed, we still want to support local cat rescues. Our plan is to donate a percentage of sales each month to a dedicated cat rescue. For the month of May, we will be donating to Animal Rescue of the Rockies.

And a little update on Bonnie, did you know that she has her own Etsy shop? She's designed some adorable cat things and creative whatnots, purr-fect to treat yourself or give as gifts! Link in comments.

We really miss everyone and have been loving your messages these past few weeks. We would love to know how YOU’RE doing, so please send us a quick update by sending us a DM.

HAPPY TAILS: We weren’t sure if this would happen, but everything happens exactly how it should! Our sweet Midnight was adopted! We prayed and prayed that the right family would come along and we had pressure to find her a home before we closed. Our prayers were answered and Nick and Jen ( - follow her if you don’t already!!) fell in love and Midnight fell in love with them! They already had a house full of love and other fur babies but they just had to meet this sweet old lady. It didn’t take much since Midnight immediately fell in love (especially with her new daddy!). We hear she’s doing great in her new home and has been exploring the house and meeting her new siblings. We couldn’t be happier and are so grateful for Jen and Nick. Thank you! ❤️🙏

HAPPY TAILS: We are happy to announce that our sweetest Lily girl has found her forever home! This sweet senior who came to us from a terrible living situation was a pleasure to have all these months with us. We knew she was waiting for the most perfect home - she won the hearts of many, but she really won the heart over her new mom Mackenzie! Miss Lily, our Inventory Specialist at Just Cats is still looking for her forever home! She came to us last year from a very sad situation (she was left abandoned with no food or water). She was clearly loved at some point in her life because she’s so sweet, chatty and just wants to sit on your lap!!!

This 10-year-old girl was puking everyday when we first got her and when we took her to the vet, she was diagnosed with IBD. Her condition is very manageable and she honestly eats non-prescription food since it’s not very severe for her. We either do novel proteins to help keep her tummy happy!

She prefers to be the only cat, if possible. She gets along with others, but she’s a princess and wants her own palace.

Midnight is looking for her forever home!

If I could take her home, I would! This healthy 10-year-old senior came from a loving home until she was no longer loved anymore. She was peeing all over the house because she was stressed over her mom’s grandkids which caused her to have a UTI. She was brought to the vet to be euthanized even though she needed antibiotics and a quiet place to rest. She was rescued by the amazing people at and then brought to the Just Cats - Cat Cottage 😺🏡 to find her forever home.

She’s been with us for a few months and has really blossomed. She gets along with other cats and loves treats, catnip toys and is best in a home with peace and quiet and she’s a HUGE lap cat!

If you’re looking for a friendly companion, she’s a great addition to any cat home!

After 6 amazing years at Just Cats, we are deeply saddened to announce the closure of our store. It was a difficult decision to make, but unfortunately, due to various reasons, we have decided to close the store.

We are truly amazed at the amount of unwavering love and support we have received these past 6 years. The decision to close the store was the hardest decision we have ever made in our lives, but we know it’s the right decision.

We are beyond grateful for the amount of love and support we have received from the cat community throughout the years. What started as a dream 10 years ago became a reality by saying yes to life and believing that all dreams do come true.

So much hard work was put in by our dedicated staff, our amazing volunteers, and our rescue partners. As a result, we were able to help save and find homes for over 500 cats as well as raise and donate over $97,000 to cats in need.

We are especially thankful for the opportunity to partner with Animal Rescue of the Rockies for these years to foster and support their cats in need at the Just Cats – Cat Cottage.

The closure of the store doesn’t mean it’s goodbye forever – you can still shop our online store, which will continue to help cats in need.

This is just one way we hope to keep the community alive. We opened our online store 8 years ago and will keep it going so we can support other cat rescues in need. Our retail location and Cat Cottage may be closing, but our spirit in helping others in need will never go away. We’d love for you to continue to follow us on our journey as we allow the time and space from the store closure to re-group and start anew.

Please join us on Saturday, March 23rd from 11AM to 6PM at our store for our farewell party as well as celebrating our 6-year anniversary as Just Cats. It will be bittersweet, but we would love to see everyone and personally give thanks if you can make it.

Our last day of operation will be Friday, March 29th. We currently have several kitties looking for homes between now and then on our website. Please help us in finding their forever homes over the next few weeks.

We are so blessed and grateful for you all. Thank you for allowing us to make our dreams a reality and to help us change the lives of the cats we saved. We love you all!
