When Daylight Saving Time ends on November 1st, your pet's stomach probably won't adjust as fast as your clocks do. We recommend gradually shift feeding times over the next week to avoid a confused (and hungry) pet on the big day.

This is also a great time to check in on flea and tick prevention. Dallas winters are mild enough that parasites stick around, so don't pause protection just because it's getting cooler. Some patients walk in nervous, but this guy walked in, found the welcome mat, and claimed it 😎🐾

We visited this handsome guy at his home for vomiting. We ran some bloodwork on the spot (all clear!) and sent home meds to help his tummy feel better. His mom stayed by his side for the whole visit with a steady supply of treats, which he fully approved of.

Every last Sunday, Dr. Dan sets up at Celestial Beerworks for Dog Days with Dr. Dan, our monthly pop-up vaccine clinic! 🐶🍺

The pups show up, the pup cups disappear fast, and we get to do what we love most: take care of some seriously good dogs and the families who love them. We offer vaccines, heartworm prevention, microchipping, and plenty of time for wellness questions from engaged pet parents.

Your cat probably won't make their own dentist appointment.

Happy Toothday! The x-ray here is from a cat we saw recently. That's a feline oral resorptive lesion (FORL) in the tooth on the left. Toothfully, it's one of the most painful things we find in a cat's mouth. We still don't know exactly why it happens, but the body starts dissolving the tooth from the inside out, and you might not catch it just by looking--it sometimes only shows up on a dental radiograph.

Here's the part we love about our practice: all of this happened in our client's driveway. We pulled the mobile clinic up to the house, ran pre-anesthetic bloodwork on our onboard analyzers, and did complete dentals on all three of their cats. Nobody was crated, nobody rode across town, and nobody sat in a waiting room full of barking dogs.

Now that the tooth is out, she is feline so much better! If your cat is overdue or you've noticed drooling, dropping food, or chewing on one side, we'd love to come take a look. We bring expert medical care directly to your home and help pets be their best.
