🐾 Please help us welcome the newest veterinarian joining the Summertree Animal & Bird Clinic family, **Dr. Catherine Carranza!** 🩺✨

Born and raised in Texas, Dr. Carranza earned her biology degree from the University of Texas at Arlington before pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at LSU, where she developed a special focus on exotic and zoo species.

Dr. Carranza has a passion for caring for all pets, with particular interests in avian and reptile medicine—and even a fascination with arachnids! 🦜🦎🕷️ At home, she shares her life with a Great Dane mix, a chiweenie, a cat, and a ball python.

When she's not at the clinic, you'll find her enjoying film, art, dance, and spending time outdoors. She is also fluent in Spanish and is passionate about providing accessible, compassionate care to Spanish-speaking pet owners.
