Announcing this exciting expansion for Balanced Beginnings.♥️

**For the time being BBK9 related services including board and trains in addition to graduate boarding will still be based out of my personal home unless discussed and agreed upon otherwise!

Balanced Beginnings Canine Club is officially here. 🐾

What started as solely a dog training company, Balanced Beginnings K9, has grown into something more-and we’re so excited to introduce this next step. The Canine Club was created to offer more dogs in our community a safe and calm environment while giving owners the peace of mind knowing that their dogs are being supported through structure and intention.

This isn’t just daycare or boarding-it’s an extension of our training philosophy.

Our services include:
• Structured Daycare focused on appropriate socialization, engagement, and state of mind
• Boarding designed to maintain routine, reduce stress, and support a calm experience
• The same balanced training programs that specialize in advanced obedience and behavior modification

Whether your dog needs a place to play, stay, or continue building better habits, our goal is to create a consistent, calm, and beneficial experience.

✨ Open House: April 4th | 10 AM – 2 PM

Join us for our open house to tour the space, meet the owner, ask questions, and schedule your dog’s trial service for daycare or boarding.

Day Train Maple graduated her 4 week program this week.🐶♥️

Maple joined our program shortly after being adopted by her new family. Like many dogs going through a big life transition, she came in with a little insecurity and some pushy behavior while she was still figuring things out.

Over the last 4 weeks she made huge strides — building confidence, developing more reliability, and learning how to relax into clearer guidance from her people.

We’re so proud of the progress Maple and her owners made together. This is just the beginning, and they’re already building a really nice foundation for their life together. I’m excited to watch their relationship continue to grow as they keep putting the work in.🥳

Meet our newest foster and help us name him. 🤍

He’s a 2-year-old male German Shepherd, and right now our priority is making sure he’s healthy, comfortable, and physically sound as he settles into a new environment.

Once he’s had time to decompress, we’ll begin shifting focus toward building his reliability, clarity, and overall manners. We were told he has struggled with potty training, leash skills, cat reactivity, and a few other modee behavioral issues—but based on my initial assessment, he appears temperamentally sound and has already shown some really promising qualities.

He’ll be getting a new name to mark his fresh start, and I’d love your help — drop your name suggestions in the comments below ⬇️

I have high hopes that he’s going to become an incredible dog for someone, and I’m excited to share his progress along the way. 🐾

Hey look, I finally remembered to get a graduation picture!🐶🎓

Rory, the 2 year old German Shepherd / Standard Poodle mix just graduated our Behavior Boost Day Train Program.😊

Rory worked with us 3 days a week for 4 weeks to build a reliable foundation in obedience and address some behavioral issues related to insecurity, reactivity, and impulse control.

We are so happy with Rory’s transformation and are excited for her to continue her progress at home and hopefully enjoy more adventures with her owner this summer.♥️

🐾 Introducing BBK9’s new Training Assistant — Jodee! 🐾
We’re so excited to welcome Jodee to our team! 🎉

Jodee recently graduated from SUNY Cobleskill with a Bachelor of Technology in Animal Science: Canine Training & Management, where she gained hands-on experience in obedience, tracking, detection, and behavior work. She’s also completed internships and field programs with organizations like Auburn University, Penn Vet Working Dog Center, and the Albany Police K9 Unit, giving her a strong foundation in handling and understanding dogs of all temperaments.

Jodee has already caught on quickly to our protocols here and is a natural with the dogs in addition to offering a fun and positive attitude to the training environment. We are so happy to have her on board and know you and your dog’s will appreciate her too. 🐶✨
