Our current BBK9 trainees. ❤️

🐶 Indy, a 2-year-old Olde English Bulldog, is spending 4 weeks with us in our Rehab and Reset Board & Train program. During her stay, we’ll be working on managing her excitement around guests, building better impulse control, and addressing the aggression she’s been displaying toward the other dog in her home.

🐶 Millie, a 1-year-old Rottweiler mix, is here for our 2-week Foundations Board & Train program. With a new baby on the way, her family wanted to give her a solid obedience foundation while also working on her enthusiastic jumping so she’s ready to welcome her newest family member.

We’re excited to help both of these girls build new skills and confidence over the next few weeks. We can’t wait to continue sharing their progress and show you what they’re capable of by the end of their training journeys! 🐾

Meet Zip 💙

Zip is a 6-year-old neutered male Blue Heeler who is up to date on all of his veterinary care and is looking for the right forever home.

I first met Zip when he came through my Board & Train program earlier this year to work on his reactivity toward strangers, particularly men. During his time with me, he made incredible progress once he was given clear structure, consistency, and guidance. He returned home and continued to do well, but over time that consistency became difficult to maintain, and he gradually fell back into old habits.

Recently, I took Zip back into my care to hopefully avoid behavioral euthanasia. We have been refreshing his training, and he has reminded me what a wonderful dog he truly is. While Zip does have behavioral challenges that require a committed owner, I do not believe they are severe enough to justify euthanasia without first seeing if we can find him a home that is a better fit.

Zip would do best in a home that understands herding breeds and is committed to providing the structure, boundaries, and continued training he needs to be successful.
