Fractures can happen fast...especially with curious kittens! 🐈‍⬛️💨🦴

Mr. Asher in for an initial exam after becoming non–weight-bearing on the right hind leg. The owner suspected the kitten’s leg got stuck in a chair, and radiographs confirmed a distal tibia fracture.

Under Dr. Burner's care, the patient was anesthetized on 8/12/25 for splint placement, and a modified Robert Jones quick splint was applied. Dr. Burner and his team carefully managed Asher's healing process, changing his bandages weekly and his splint 2 weeks later to allow for growth, ensure proper alignment, and to monitor his healing progress.

After 37 days of Dr. Burner’s gold star treatment, Asher's fracture had healed and was ready for kitten zoomies again!
