**This little guy needs all of our help!**
Meet Dex! This tiny 9 week old baby came to us Thursday evening and was almost comatose, minimally responsive, suffering from dangerously low blood sugar!
He was surrendered to us and we were fortunately able to get him stabilized quickly and he was up on his feet and walking around shortly after!
Our rescue friends at Wescott Acres Pet Rescue agreed to intake/sponsor him and he went home with Emily to monitor.
He did great Thursday night and then late Friday evening he had a seizure! 😱
He was rushed to the emergency room where he has been since, being treated for juvenile hypoglycemia!
He is sooo tiny, weighing only 1.8 pounds, that he is having trouble regulating his body! He ended up having another small seizure early this morning and will have to stay at least another night, if not longer! 😢
When his sugar levels are up, he is a bouncy little guy that follows you everywhere and will take syringe feedings well. He likes playing with Rainbow too!He has such a big personality for such a tiny baby that he has won the hearts of everyone that has met him, including his wonderful critical care team! ❤️
The hope is that as he matures he will be fine and just needs time, careful monitoring and needs to start eating on his own!
Understandably, this is going to be an extremely large bill for such a small rescue. They could really use the help of our community to give this precious baby every chance he can get! Please consider donating to help tiny Dex!
