Behind the scenes, our team regularly runs emergency drills to stay sharp for the moments that matter most. Whether it's one pet in crisis or multiple patients arriving at the same time needing CPR or life-saving care, we train together so we can respond quickly, confidently, and as one team.

These simulations help us strengthen communication, fine-tune our skills, and prepare for the unexpected—because our patients deserve nothing less.

🐨💚 We had a koala-ty visitor today!
It wasn't your average day at SCVSEC when Milo, the koala, stopped by for a CT scan! Thanks to an incredible "koala"boration between our Internal Medicine team and the Zoo and Garden veterinary staff, this special patient received advanced imaging and outstanding care
We're not trying to koala-fy for "Cutest Patient of the Year"... but we think we have a pretty strong case. 😉
It takes more than one branch of veterinary medicine to care for amazing animals like this, and we're so grateful for the opportunity to work side-by-side with the zoo's talented medical team. Together, we made sure this little eucalyptus enthusiast could continue to dazzle the fans of Riverbanks Zoo with his cuteness.🩺🐨🌿

Most of the time, our staff doesn’t get to see your pets at their best, however when our clients send in reviews with pictures of our patients back to normal, it makes our staff smile.
If has cared for your pet please submit a review on Google, Facebook, Yelp or via carrier pigeon with LOTS of cute photos of them feeling better. Whether that includes snuggles on the couch or zoomies, we would love to see them.

..but Trazodone, Rimadyl, prescription food, and a Red Bull seemed like a good place to start. 😂
