Pinecone Pups is now under new ownership. We wish Elissa and family all the best of luck on her future endeavors! Laura and Lynde are staying to continue to provide amazing care to your pups.
New Owner: Melanie Gantt, ABCDT, CPDT-KA, IAABC ADT, FFCP, PCT, CTDI, CCFC, IAABC Shelter Behavior Affilate, CGC Evaluator, and Animal Behavior College Southern Colorado Mentor.
Melanie will not be changing Montessori School or prices, except on January 5, 2026 will be adding Monday and Friday availability. Plus, we will be available at 7:30am to allow for earlier drop offs with pick ups remaining by 5:30pm.
So what are we changing? We are adding Training School!! On nights and weekends we are providing more great ways for you to learn to communicate with your pup, fun enrichment, and confidence building! Melanie is collaborating with local, independent, and trusted force-free trainers to give you and your pup more learning options!
1. Tava Dog will be starting Puppy Socialization and CORE Basic Obedience Levels program on 11/10/2025. You can even sign up from your Pinecone Pups Gingr Portal or Gingr App! For additional services provided by Tava Dog: www.tavadog.com
2. Melanie will be starting Assessments and 1-hour Private Lessons for Behavior Modification on Sunday mornings on 11/08/2025!
3. Megan Brubaker will be starting Group Relaxation and Emotional Regulation Classes in January 2026! This does require an assessment, possibly some additional training, to evaluate which group your dog will benefit from. 4. Two By Four Dog Training will be starting Pattern Games class in January 2026! This does require an assessment, possibly some additional training, to evaluate if your dog is ready for this class.
