Happy National Therapy Animal Day!
Today we’re celebrating the incredible impact therapy animals make in our community and across the country. From hospital visits to schools, libraries, and beyond — their gentle presence offers comfort, joy, and connection.

At ABRT, we’re proud to have an AKC-recognized Therapy Dog Program with nearly 20 active therapy dog teams! These amazing dogs and their dedicated humans volunteer their time to spread love and calm wherever it’s needed most.

Have you ever thought about training your own dog as your service dog, but you weren't sure where to start?
ABRT is excited to announce the launch of our new Service Dog Owner Trainer Academy!
The Service Dog Owner Trainer Academy is a specialized curriculum meant to provide structure to owner trainers, and prepare owner trained service dog teams for public access work in line with the federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The curriculum covers basic, intermediate, and advanced training, disability tasks/work, and public access training, with an optional course in public transportation.

Theres still some room in our upcoming Neo-Dog 1 classes.

Come bond with your dog and develop an even greater relationship with them while learning some basic but very important cues.

In Neo-Dog 1 you will learn about positive reinforcement and relationship based training methods, how to teach and maintain behaviors, and basic cues such as sit, down, leave-it, an emergency recall, and loose-leash walking.

Our upcoming classes:
- Tuesdays at 7:30pm starting 2/25/25.
- Wednesdays at 4:30pm starting 2/26/25

The first five months of your puppy’s life shapes reactions to the environment for the rest of it. Don't miss this critical stage of development! Teach your puppy to play with others, become desensitized to noise, learn manners, get potty trained, and more.

Join us for our next Puppy Raising 101 class on Monday, March 3rd at 5:30pm. This is a 7-week long class for puppies 8 weeks to 15 weeks old.
