White Rose Sanctuary 501c3 Organized to prevent cruelty to animals with a dedication to animal rehabilitation and to assist in their placement into qualified homes.
(1)

White Rose Sanctuary will work closely with law enforcement to ensure the prevention of further animal abuse. MISSION STATEMENT:
Organized to prevent cruelty to animals with a dedication to animal rehabilitation and to assist in their placement into qualified homes. VISION STATEMENT:
White Rose Sanctuary is a safe place for the “impossible” cases. We dedicate our education and skills to rehabilita

tion and saving these innocent animals that have been fought, abused and neglected. We promise every animal they are safe, will finally know love and will have a forever home, not a life in a kennel with a forever home or us, who will be their forever family. We can give any that haven’t found a forever home yet, one that they are treated as family and have a great quality of life, not just a kennel and run. We stand for putting an end to the war, pursue with law enforcement every case of abuse and neglect, while pressing charges, attending court to put a stop to this circle of pain. We want to see a day that we are no longer needed. We fight for these poor babies; we won’t give up no matter how hard and long the battle is.

🐾 A Letter From Maximus

I wish you could understand dogs like me, so I asked Mama Rogue to help me tell you.

I was going to be put down because of my behaviors and the quality of life I was living.

I was lucky. WRS said yes, and Mama Rogue personally took me on.

I was self-harming. I jumped and scratched people because I’d grab onto them with my claws. I didn’t pull on a leash—I ran. I bolted. I chomped my teeth together.

I was hard to handle.

But I wasn’t bad.

I was scared.

Scared of noises. Scared people would leave me. I had no manners and underneath everything, I’m just a naturally nervous, sensitive boy.

It took me a long time to settle.

That’s what I wish people understood about dogs like me.

We’re different from “regular” dogs. Often you meet a dog, see their best behavior, and the bad behaviors appear later as they get comfortable.

Dogs like me give you the bad stuff first.

The fear. Jumping. Pulling. Panic. Chaos.

Then we realize we’re safe. Those behaviors start fading and the amazing stuff starts showing up.

You finally meet us.

Mama Rogue says dogs like me are the bestest dogs. Don’t believe her? Come meet me. ❤️

But so many of us never get that chance.

Some never leave the shelter. Others are returned after days because they weren’t perfect immediately.

We’re labeled hyper, jumpers, too much, behavioral.

When sometimes we’re simply terrified.

Mama Rogue cries at night looking at dogs like me she wants to save because she knows what might be underneath that fear.

She knows because she has me as proof.

But she can only take one of us at a time.

I wish I could find her more FOSTERS like her—people willing to stay long enough to meet who we really are.

Because someone stayed for me.

I got the chance to become Maximus.

I wish they all did.

So when you see a dog like I used to be…

Look twice. Give us time.

Come meet the real me. Mama Rogue loves showing me off. ❤️

And please look at the dogs like me still waiting for someone to see past their fear.

Love you all,
Maximus 🐾

🐷 THROWBACK TO THE DAY “NO SOUL LEFT BEHIND” INCLUDED A PIG 😂

Three years ago, we got a call about a pig running loose in the Conn’s parking lot. In the middle of town.

Naturally, we assumed someone was screwing with us.

But because apparently we have trust issues and an inability to ignore an animal that might need help… we showed up anyway.

It was, in fact, NOT a prank. 😂🐷

There she was. A pig. Just casually living her best life in a parking lot while we stood there realizing we had absolutely no idea what the hell we were doing.

Dogs? We got you.

Severe behavior cases? Yep.

Medical cases? Absolutely.

Parking-lot pig wrangling? Not exactly in the WRS handbook.

We spent more than THREE HOURS trying to catch her, followed by several more hours hanging out with our new pig friend while we waited for partners who actually knew something about pigs to come help.

Because pigs may be completely outside our wheelhouse…

but leaving her behind was never an option.

That day still makes us laugh, but it also perfectly sums up what No Soul Left Behind means to us.

We may not always know what we’re walking into.

We may occasionally find ourselves standing in a parking lot thinking, “How the hell did this become our problem?”

But if there’s an animal standing in front of us who needs someone?

We’re staying.

Even if it has hooves. 🐷😂

No Soul Left Behind. Always. 🌹🐾

✨ The WRS Girl Gang: Fueled by Coffee, Chaos & Canine Drama ✨

Good morning, friends — the WRS crew has been out here acting like the busiest, bravest, & a tiny bit sassy little rescue squad in Colorado.

Let’s check in on the chaos. ✨💙

Noadiah Noa : The “I Fix Dogs AND Humans” Specialist
Ms Noa has been helping Regal and his new dad with in‑person training…
And by “helping,” we mean she’s been giving Regal the
“sir, we do NOT act feral in public🤦‍♂️” pep talks
while his dad nods like he’s taking notes for a college exam.
Regal is thriving. Dad is trying. We love them both. 💙🐾💗

Playdate with Auntie Cindy Vorwald Humphrey 🩵:
Yesterday, Pebbles got a fun‑day Cindy adventure — which basically means long walks, snacks, snuggles, and being treated princess style.
And when she saw Taz, a former WRS pup?
Instant bestie reunion.
Instant “OMG YOU’RE STILL ALIVE???” energy.💖
Instant zoomies.
Pebbles walked into Cindy’s house like,
“Ah yes… my childhood playhouse. I shall now act feral with joy.”
It was adorable. 💗🐶

Rogue Wolff The Woman Who Has 47 Jobs
Rogue is… well… Rogue. 😁
She’s doing 900 things at once, as usual.
We don’t even try to list them anymore — it stresses us out.🤪
But today she gets to take Nyx, our midnight queen, to meet her approved family.
Nyx is basically going on her royal tour.
Crowns optional.
Drama guaranteed. 🖤🌙💞

And tomorrow?
Our girl Pebbles has her very first meet‑n‑greet.💞🐾💞
Her debut.
Her moment to shine.
Her “I’m tiny, I’m cute, and you WILL chose me" energy 🩷

So send all the love, luck, and cosmic sparkles, her & Nyx's way.
Let’s manifest the perfect match for our two amazing girls. 💕

💵🐾 $5 FRIDAY — According to Gooby, WRS now has a CFO.

Apparently Gooby’s self-appointed position as Boss of Everything wasn’t enough.

He has now promoted himself to Head of Financials, Wants, Needs & General Rescue Spending. 😂

And according to CFO Gooby, we need to talk about FIVE DOLLARS.

We know $5 doesn’t sound like a lot.

But rescue is built on a whole bunch of “not a lot” adding up to something HUGE.

🐾 4 people donate $5 = an Adopt Me harness
💉 A few $5 donations = one or two vaccines
🦴 $5 = treats for training, enrichment or convincing a stubborn rescue dog that humans aren’t completely terrible
⛽ A handful of $5 donations = gas to get a pup where they need to go
💊 And when enough people throw in $5? It starts paying vet bills, medications, food and all the boring-but-important stuff that keeps WRS running.

That’s the magic of $5 Friday.

You don’t have to have $100 to make a difference.

You don’t have to fund an entire surgery.

You don’t have to buy a whole bag of food.

Sometimes you just toss five bucks into the rescue pot and a bunch of other amazing humans do the same.

Suddenly, Gooby has a budget. 😂

And unfortunately for us, this will only reinforce his belief that he actually runs White Rose Sanctuary.

You can donate using the Donate Now button or through any of our other donation links. 💙🌹

Every $5 matters.
Every person matters.
And every little bit helps us keep saying YES to dogs who need someone in their corner.

CFO Gooby thanks you for your contribution.

He will be accepting his salary in snacks. 🐶💰

🐾🛒 WEEKLY WISHLIST — Gooby’s Demands Have Arrived

Apparently Mama Rogue has been slacking, and WRS’s self-appointed Head of Financials, Wants, Needs & General Bossiness has noticed. 🙄😂

So Gooby is back with this week’s list of “things my employees should have already ordered.”

🐾 Dental chews
🐾 Yard screw-downs
🐾 Tag/short leashes
🐾 42” crates
🐾 Wide slip leads
🐾 Salmon treats + regular crunchy treats
🐾 ADOPT ME harnesses & leashes

And because apparently Gooby is restructuring the entire purchasing department, we’ve updated our Amazon Wishlist AND brought back our Chewy Wishlist! 🎉

The Chewy Wishlist also has eGift cards you can purchase that automatically credit our account, which means we can use them to grab whatever the pups need most when supplies start running low.

Every chew, leash, crate, treat and gift card saves WRS money that can stay where we need it most — vet care, training, emergencies and saving more dogs. 💙🌹

So if you’d like to spoil the WRS crew, check out either wishlist and send our pups a little something.

And I hate to admit it…

Gooby may actually be good at this job.

But SHHHHHHH. 🤫

WE TELL OUR LITTLE TYRANT NOTHING.

His ego is already completely unmanageable. 😂🐶👑

💙 Clifford’s “Please Pick Me” Introduction Letter 💙 (the softest, sweetest, most adopt‑me energy he’s ever given)

Hi…👋
I’m Clifford.
And I’ve been practicing how to introduce myself — because after 341 days of waiting, I’m really hoping today is the day someone finally sees me 🙏
So here goes… My very best try.💙
Hi, I’m Clifford… and I’m ready to love you.I’m almost 10 years old, but my heart?
It’s young.
It’s hopeful.
It’s still wide open, waiting for the human who wants a gentle, quiet, deeply loyal old man by their side. I’m a 175‑lb mastiff mix, but please don’t let that number scare you — I’m soft.
I move slow.
I love calm energy, peaceful homes, and people who enjoy the simple things:
soft mornings, warm sunbeams, slow walks, quiet rooms, and snuggles that last way too long. 😌💙
I don’t jump.
I don’t run around.
I don’t cause chaos.
I’m basically a living weighted blanket with a heartbeat.

What I Dream About 💤
I dream about a couch that’s finally mine.
A human who smiles when I shuffle over and lean my big head into their chest.
A home where my old‑man sighs are welcomed, not ignored.
A place where I’m not “too big” or “too old,” but just right. 🩵

I dream about someone who sees past my size and notices my sweetness.
Someone who wants a dog that doesn’t need adventure — just love.
Someone who wants a companion, not a project.
Someone who wants a soul, not a puppy tornado.

My Foster Says I’m…

❣️The bestest 'old man
❣️A slow‑walk king
❣️A peaceful presence
❣️A couch‑cuddling champion
❣️A friend to calm, respectful dogs
❣️A senior sweetheart with a heart the size of Colorado

I’m house trained, crate trained, neutered, chipped, UTD — the whole senior‑gentleman starter pack.

💙 If You’ve Been Wanting a Dog Who Makes Life extra sweet… I’m Right Here.

I’m fostered in Colorado, but the ladies of White Rose Sanctuary will travel anywhere to bring me home. 🚐💙

If you think I might be your dog — your couch buddy, your relaxin companion, your soft old man — please visit wrsanctuary.org and fill out an application.

Questions Rogue Wolff f, Cindy Vorwald Humphrey , Steph Bendush, or Shawnee McKenna are always here to help. 💕

And if you can’t adopt, sharing my story might be the one thing that finally gets me home. 🩵

Love, hope, and the softest old‑man snuggles,
Clifford

🩷🐾 Bitty Here… Sending You Snuggles From Wyoming 🩷

Hiiii WRS family… it’s me, Mora!
You used to call me Bitty — your tiny teeny peanut with the baby wiggles. 🐶💕

Well guess what… I’m still a wiggle‑baby, just… bigger now. And I’m living the happiest, snuggliest, zoomiest life up here in Wyoming! 🏔️

Every morning I do my happy‑dance paws, then I go on adventures, then I get snuggles, then I zoom again because… well… zoomies are my personality now. 🐾💖

And um… can I tell you a secret?
My parents absolutely adore me.
Like… I’m-their-squishy‑little‑heart adore me.
They kiss my nose, tuck me in, tell me I’m their perfect girl, and love me soooo big it makes my tail do helicopter spins. 💕

I might not be Bitty‑sized anymore… but I’ll always be their baby — and yours too. 🥰🤗

Love you always,
Mora 🐾💞

🐾 IS IT FRUSTRATION? REACTIVITY? AGGRESSION?

Sometimes the answer is: we don’t know yet.

And that’s okay.

Dog behavior isn’t as simple as “dog friendly” or “dog aggressive.”

A dog may lose their mind on a leash but happily play with dogs off leash.

They may react behind a fence but be completely different without the barrier.

They may do beautifully in a group but have an issue with ONE particular dog.

And sometimes the behaviors we pay the most attention to aren’t the loud ones.

A stiff body.
Closed mouth.
Hard stare.
Weight shifting forward.
Whale eye.
Avoidance.
Blocking another dog.
A split-second freeze.

Those little signals can tell us a LOT.

At White Rose Sanctuary, we don’t just ask, “Did the dog react?”

We want to know WHY.

What happened right before it?

Was there a leash or barrier?

Was the dog scared, frustrated, overstimulated, guarding something or simply uncomfortable?

Does it happen with every dog—or one specific type of dog?

Does their behavior change in a group versus one-on-one?

That takes TIME to figure out.

Especially with the severe abuse and neglect cases we take. Trauma can create incredibly specific behaviors that may not appear until a dog encounters one particular situation, environment or trigger.

And rescue keeps teaching us that just when you think you’ve seen everything… a dog says, “Hold my treat.” 😂

So we observe. We learn. We manage. We adjust.

And when something needs more expertise, we bring in our trainer and make a plan.

We are ALWAYS learning because every dog standing in front of us is different.

We don’t slap a label on them and give up.

We figure out what they’re trying to tell us and help them succeed.

Different dog. Different story. Same mission. 💙🌹🐾

No Soul Left Behind.

💙🐾 I Don’t Know Why I Haven’t Been Chosen Yet… But I Still Believe WRS 🧡🐾

Hi… my name is HipHop. 😃
I’m an 18‑month‑old Lab/Pitbull mix, and I’ve been with my rescue for 733 days. That’s a really long time to wait for a family 💔… especially when my brother and sister were adopted months ago. I’m so happy for them — truly — but sometimes I wonder when it will be my turn. 🥺💙
I started my life in a scary place… a high‑kill shelter. Me and my tiny siblings didn’t know what love was, or what safety felt like. We didn’t even know what a soft bed was. But the rescue ladies came for us. They scooped us up, found amazing foster homes, and promised we’d never be alone again. And they kept that promise. 💙🐾

I’ve grown up in foster care.
I’ve learned what kindness feels like.
I’ve learned that humans can be gentle.
And now… I’m ready for my forever.

Why You Might Fall in Love With Me
Sensitive soul — I need a day or two to warm up, but once I trust you… I’m yours. Completely.
Smart boy — House‑trained, crate‑trained, and I know lots of commands.
Zoomie machine — I LOVE walks and I’m famous for my silly, fast zoomies.

Dog‑friendly — I really enjoy having canine friends around.Healthy & ready — Neutered, chipped, vaccinated, and ready to go home.
My Safe‑Space Rules (Please Read These)

My crate is my castle. 🏰💙
It’s where I feel safe, calm, and protected.
If I’m resting in there, I prefer that new people don’t approach me. It’s not because I don’t like you — it’s because that space helps me feel brave. Because I can get nervous with fast movements, I’m looking for a home with no kids under 13.

My 5‑Day “Slumber Party” Trial 🛏️✨If you apply and get approved, the rescue gives you a 5‑day adoption trial — think of it like a slumber party!
I come stay with you, we get to know each other, you see how I fit into your life… and you only finalize the adoption if it feels perfect for everyone.
No pressure.
No stress.
Just love, time, and a chance to see if I’m your missing piece.

💙🐾Where I Am & How to Apply
I’m in Colorado, and the rescue will even bring me right to your Colorado home. 🚚💨

You can read my full bio and apply at:www.wrsanctuary.orgIf you have questions, you can talk to:
Rogue Wolff Cindy Vorwald Humphrey Steph Bendush , or Shawnee McKenna .
They know me better than anyone and want nothing more than to see me finally chosen. 💙

If you can’t adopt… please share my story.
You might be the reason my forever family finally sees me. 🐾❤️

Love, Tail Wags, & Hopeful Heartbeats…
Your boy,
