Good Morning ☀️

We will for the time being putting a hold on intakes after we bring in the one this coming weekend. This will be evaluated day by day. We hate to do this but we need to do so we can prevent burn out and also focus on the dogs currently in our care. Making a choice to put an intake hold in place doesn't come easy. If you are wanting to foster and live in Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky and in Pennsylvania close to the Ohio line please reach out we will send you a form to fill out. In case you were wondering about Rip. He's still living life to the fullest. This weekend he decided to hop right up on to the side by side. First time doing it. Rumor is he is running the farm and barking orders.

By barking orders we mean telling them to take him for a ride and nuggets

*If we cannot prove ownership on property you will be asked for proof

*If you rent or on land contract we will ask for the paperwork to make sure you are allowed to have animals

* We will contact your vet and ask questions. If they cannot provide your information without speaking to you. We will contact you l.

*We will ask for clarification on certain things.

Example: Why are you applying for another family member when the vet says your current animals are not up to date?

Are you using a different vet? Please provide their number

If your animal cannot have vaccines we will need a letter from the vet

Please make sure you are answering all the questions. Lately we have vet names with no number

I'm not trying to be mean but OUR JOB is to do what is BEST for the dog in our care

Freaking Finnegan today had done the following

*Superman onto Hugh from the bed.

*Jumped onto the bed with Hughie on it and they wrestle. Remove Hugh from the bed and put him in the crate to calm him down. What does Finn do? Play with him through the crate.

*Knocked everything he could think of off the dresser

*Jumped from my suitcase to the curtains and climbed up them. Where he is currently sitting on the window edge

*Jumped on top of my tv and decided to lay on top of it because apparently sitting on the TV isn't good enough anymore. 🤦

This better not be any indication of how my week is going to go

I spent four hours washing, blow drying and trying to groom Suzy. I believe we have had enough of each other and my bright idea today. I spent a 1.5 on her bath, probably two hours trying to blow dry her dry and the last half hour trying to groom her.

During that time what did I learn?

* Six gallons of Nottie and NONE of them were conditioner! 🤦

*It is Sooooo nice to have a tub and grooming table that goes up and down. I figured her and I would have been over it a lot sooner picking her up and so forth

*Groomers do a lot and people that treat them awful or say hateful things to them with no reason needs HIT

*It's important to have hands on your dogs either you or a groomer. Having hands on Suzy i found two lumps that will be getting checked out.

*I'm going to be searching Facebook marketplace, ebay and anything else to find a K9 dryer because the one I have will take FOREVER on a dog that has a double heavy coat

Thank you to the private party that sent the grooming tub a year ago. It was so nice not having to fight a dog in the bathroom tub and not leaning down.

Thank you to dad (JB) and DJR for hooking up the tub and grooming table. I appreciate it so much. Now time for food and a nap

First one picked up!!

Thank you so much Marie. Marie and Heather is a prime example that if you adopt from us you are stuck with us. 😂 They have adopted a total of three from us and one of them was Pappa Samson. Marie and Heather has also fostered, transport and helped with events.

We love our little rescue family!

Lucy Lou family is literally AMAZING!!

Lucy Lou's dad Bill tie-dye the shirts himself and her mom Jamie did all the screen prints. We appreciate their KINDNESS so much. They just shipped them out today and on their way to us. I CANNOT wait to take them to the National. If we have any shirts left over we will be posting them on here for sale AFTER the National
