Teddy along with his friends Chuck the Poodle and Boy Scout had a day at the beach yesterday. Teddy didn't swim but enjoyed walking the beach line.

Good Sunday Morning 🌞

A simple act of kindness goes deeper than a person knows. Yesterday two different acts of kindness happened. One in rescue and the other in my personal life. Teddy is one of our hospice dogs with a bucket list and yesterday he crashed a young gentleman's senior photo at the beach. Instead of them getting upset they welcome him into the photos with open arms. Little do they know they helped mark off an item off Teddy's bucket list. That simple act of kindness had a ripple effect that will be remembered for a long time. They have a story to tell about this big dog crashing their pictures and we have a story of how that simple act of kindness was a huge act. That moment will hold a place in my heart even though I was there.

As many of you know we are going to go into major construction on the house. Walls are getting torn down, windows, doors and being replaced along with electric plumbing and heating and cooling. For three to four months we will not be living in our home. Which will be a major change for everyone. We have two to three weeks to get everything packed up. The main purpose of the house remodel is to make it giant breed and dementia friendly. Yesterday Kathy that lives in Delaware, Nick from Uniontown and Austin from around Athens drove in to help. They all had a long drive but still came down to help. That act of kindness means more than they could imagine and helped a lot.

I guess what I'm trying to say is kindness is not dead it's just sometimes hard to see because we get wrapped into our needs and have expectations that this is what happens. My challenge to you this week is take a step back everyday and find an act of kindness or do an act of kindness. It will lift your mood.

PS Moving is a pain 24 rolls of tape we have gone through along with a lot of bubble wrap but guess what I have memories of kindness for a life time

Facebook World we are looking for the young gentleman in the picture

We need your help Teddy literally crashed a kids senior picture at Edgewater Beach today. Teddy foster apologized on his behalf. The family was so excited Teddy wanted to be a part and took more pictures with him. As you know on Teddy's bucket list one of the items was to have pictures taken. Little did we know this would happen. We would like to thank the teens for letting Teddy be a part of their senior picture

Please share this in hopes to find him

It has finally hit me the house that built me will be changing and I'm not sure how I feel about it. In less than a month if everything goes right construction will be starting. My animals and myself will be living in a camper. My folks in an apartment that's on the property. Life how we know it will be changing. The majority of my life I have lived in this house. When we come back into the house the layout will be completely changed.

Change if freaking hard!!

Ohhhhh OG Mary Price I need you to make sure you bring Mr Mary Price to the National next year. So we can wear hats and go to the bar.

Bonnie, Christa, Tami, Kathi, Stephanie, Delaney and myself have already booked our Airbnbs. Also we convinced Amy in Michigan to join us.

This coming year marks 30 years of the Trust. We definitely wouldn't miss it.

PS Make sure Clyde doesn't sell things he shouldn't

Continuing on with different things you can help different rescue with....

Have grant writing experience??

Many rescues are looking for people to help with this because they do not have the expertise needed for this

Lawyer or Paralegal or ever retired from this field?

Reach out to a rescue and ask if you can look over their adoption contract, surrender paperwork or volunteer form to make sure the rescue has all their bases covered

Groomer?

You could hold a grooming seminar to show fosters folks how to do basic stuff on their foster. Or have a seminar for the general public and donate the funds to a rescue.

Tired of junk in your house?

Have a yard sale. Donate some of the money to rescue. You are removing stuff and also helping

Works in finance?

Reach out to a rescue to see if you can help them with their books or audit their stuff.

Event Planner or have experience

Reach out and help them plan an event. It's away to help and also get your name out there

Mechanic

Offer to look over their vehicle or do an old change.

Works in insurance?

A lot of non profit are looking for insurance

Everyone of us have skills we can offer and help in ways you just don't know
