🍔 Meet Big Mac 🐾 (6yrs old)

Solid. Stocky. Built like a little tank… and rocking that sleek black “mini panther” look 🖤This guy didn’t get his name for nothing.

Big Mac came from a group of cats surviving around dumpsters at a local McDonald’s in inner city Cleveland. Some had been ear tipped, so someone had tried to help at some point… but there were still unfixed cats and kittens out there just trying to make it day to day. We were able to bring quite a few to safety, but we know there are more of Big Mac’s friends still waiting. We’ll be back.

And Big Mac? He wasn’t even on our radar at first.

He was up on a hill, tucked back in the shadows, just watching. One of the teenage kittens we were trying to help ran up there, so we set a trap. The kitten checked it out and walked away… and in walks Big Mac instead 😅

At first, we assumed he’d be a TNR guy. He was unsure, cautious, not quite convinced about people. You could pet him, but it had to be on his terms. The wrong angle and he’d hop back or give a nervous little hiss.

Fast forward a couple months… and wow did he prove us wrong ❤️

Big Mac has healed, learned to trust, and now leans right into affection. He arches that big sturdy body into your hand and soaks up every bit of love. He even enjoys being picked up and held for snuggles. Watching a cat like him realize he’s finally safe is honestly the best feeling.

FIV sounds scary, but it really isn’t in a home like yours. With good care, indoor living, and proper nutrition, FIV+ cats live long, happy, completely normal lives. And yes, they can safely live with FIV negative cats too 🐾

Big Mac already survived the hard part. Now he just needs someone to give him the life he’s been waiting for 🖤

Lyndhurst, Ohio inside Pet Supplies Plus at the corner of Richmond & Mayfield Road 🐾

We have some truly amazing cats waiting to meet their people and we think you’re going to fall in love. ❤️

Meet Gracie & Trixie 🩶
These gorgeous gray tabby girls are both around 3 years old and came from the same location just days apart, so they may very well be related. They can be adopted together or separately. Both girls are incredibly sweet and absolutely love being held and doted on.

Next up is Trouble
This beautiful brown tabby is around 2 to 3 years old. She came from a home with many unfixed cats. We were so thankful to step in and make a positive change in their lives. Trouble is very people oriented, loving, and sweet. She can do well with other cats given a little time to adjust.

Then there’s Rocket Man
This handsome 1½ year old brown tabby is FIV positive, likely from surviving life outside. Don’t let that scare you away though because he absolutely LOVES other cats. He wants to play with them, snuggle with them, and just be a happy goofy kid. FIV positive cats can safely live with negative cats and often live long, healthy, happy lives filled with love, comfort, and good nutrition. He deserves his happily ever after. 🥹

Last but certainly not least is Lil Mama
We rescued her while trapping near the museums after a couple previously adopted cats from our organization ended up lost down there.

Lil Mama is also FIV positive and does great with other cats. She’s a quiet little lady who enjoys cozy spots, gentle pets, and relaxing nearby. She’ll play here and there, but honestly she’s the perfect little couch potato companion!

Like Rocket Man, she has been waiting far too long for someone to notice her. It’s finally her time to shine.

A BEACON OF HOPE FOR THE EUCLID BEACH CATS

As May winds down, we’re reflecting on the resilience of the cats we meet every day and the incredible community that helps change their lives across Northeast Ohio. Every rescue, every foster home, every adoption, and every donation matters.

One of those cats is Frequency.

Frequency came to us just in time, suffering from a traumatic body wall hernia and severe ear infections. Despite everything he’s been through, this sweet boy continues to fight forward with so much strength and trust. He is FIV and FeLV negative and currently recovering, but he still has a long road ahead and will need ongoing ear care to help him live comfortably and pain free.

Cats like Frequency remind us why this work matters so much.

Meet Crepe 🤎🐾 a gorgeous 10 month old long haired brown tabby girl with the sweetest little face and a fun loving personality to match.

Crepe came from a home with quite a few unaltered cats. Her owner was losing her housing and simply didn’t have the resources to get everyone fixed and cared for the way they deserved. Thankfully, Crepe now has the chance for a fresh start and a bright future ✨

This beautiful girl is such a joy to be around. She does well with other cats, loves attention, and has a playful, happy spirit that makes people smile. She’s the kind of cat that brings warmth and life into a home 🐱💕

Some community cats have incredibly hard lives outside. 🐾💔

This sweet boy, now named 🖤Frequency🤍, is one of them. His ears are in really rough shape, likely from untreated ear mites or chronic ear infections. They’re flattened, crumpled, and it even looks like parts of them are missing. We’ll know more after his vet appointment on Monday.

Sadly, he’s not the only cat struggling at this location. There is another cat from the same feeder’s yard with severe damage to his face, likely from an abscess that ruptured. We weren’t able to trap him today, but we’ll be back out soon to keep trying.

People sometimes see community cats outside and assume they are doing okay because they survive day to day. But many are living with painful infections, injuries, parasites, and conditions that go untreated for months or even years.

Frequency is safe indoors, resting comfortably, and finally getting the help he needs. We will update you after his vet visit.

🐾 Sweet Potato
This handsome 5 year old tabby and white boy is as sweet as his name! Sweet Potato is FIV positive, but don’t let that scare you away. Cats with FIV can live long, healthy, happy lives and safely coexist with other cats. He gets along wonderfully with feline friends and has so much love to give.

🐾 Energy
A 5 year old gray tabby boy with a BIG personality! Energy is playful, entertaining, curious, and always ready to brighten your day. If you’re looking for a cat that keeps life fun, he’s your guy 😸

🐾 Chewy
Chewy is a sweet brown tabby boy around a year and a half old. He absolutely loves to snuggle and gets along great with other cats. Chewy seems to have a food allergy and is currently thriving on Acana Bountiful Catch food. To keep him feeling his best, he would do best in a schedule fed home, as an only cat, or in a home willing to feed all cats the same food. His body just likes consistency and he’s doing amazing with it ❤️
