The Rescue Inn is a non-profit, foster-based rescue organization dedicated to saving
the lives of dogs in need. We are run by a dedicated group of individuals who are
passionate about our four-legged friends. It takes a village to save a dog and to
support that dog on its journey to a forever home.

Meet Frida! Frida is a blue merle French Bulldog who was born 9/29/2022. She was a mill surrender and used for breeding, but is now fixed and fully vetted. She weighs about 24 pounds. Frida loves being in a home and like Suki enjoys dog beds and human affection. Frida is good with other dogs of all ages and sizes. Meet Suki! Suki is an adorable French Bulldog who was born April 3, 2023. She was a mill surrender and used for breeding. Suki is now fixed and fully vetted. She weighs about 28 pounds. Suki has had zero trouble acclimating to home life! She loves dog beds and human affection. Suki does great with other dogs of all ages and sizes. 🌈 Gramps 🌈

Gramps passed over the Rainbow Bridge yesterday after spending the night with his foster dad, Alex. Gramps started to decline yesterday and despite our attempts to help him feel better, nature had other plans. Gramps passed peacefully. Gramps got to experience so much love and attention after joining TRI in mid-August. This senior guy had so much s***k in him, and it was a joy to see how Gramps acclimated to every new situation.

Gramps' care was truly a team effort. We knew Gramps was a very senior dog when we took him in, and we are so glad he got to spend the last few months with us.

Thank you to everyone who cared for Gramps and helped him during his final months - Marsha Ann , Jen , Corrine , Jeannine , Boogie, Jennifer Pratt Milkovich, Gary, all the Dog Gone Crazy. A Canine and Feline FUNhouse team, Happy Pet Veterinary Hospital , MedVet Cleveland , Wayne County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center and of course Alex. You changed Gramps' life and made a difference!

Thunder will be 7 years next month! He's a mini schnauzer who weighs about 26 pounds! This sweet boy is active and sweet.

🩵 Loves to play!

🩵 Good with dogs and has been to play groups.

🩵 Vocal - he loves his doggy voice 😄

🩵 Not a fan of nail trims

🩵 Gamer...especially blanket monster 👻! He likes to hide under blankets so you have to find him

🩵 Hide and seek is his jam

🩵 Says fetching isn't his vocabulary

🩵 Knows sit, come, stay, break, wait, leave it, settle down, waits to have his feet wiped when he comes inside, will wait to eat on command

🥎⚽️🏀🏈 Let's play ball! 🥎⚽️🏀🏈

Seven says, let's play ball! Any kind of ball! This energetic little boy is about 1 1/2 years old and about 30 pounds. Here's a bit about our boy:

➡️ Seven is a happy boy who likes to smile and play!
➡️ Loves fetch and enjoys all his toys. He's fun to watch romping around.
➡️ Small but mighty - true to breed, Seven is all muscle and will be looking for a strong, active owner who likes to play, walk or run
➡️ Keeps a clean kennel
➡️ Although Seven is 1 1/2 years old, he's very much a puppy and will excel with structure and continued training. He already knows sit to stay!
➡️ Seven loves to snuggle up and be affectionate with humans. Solely because he has the ability to knock over a small human, we recommend children 15 years or over.
➡️ We have not dog tested Seven with other dogs, but prior to TRI he did play with other dogs. Any possible canine friend would need to be tolerant of Seven's puppy vibes and playfulness.

Meet Miss Siggy! This Giant Schnauzer/Wheaton Terrier mix actually isn't so giant! She's about 64 lbs, but short and compact. Siggy is just so friendly and did amazing at the vet! Thank you Pam Alerine and Michael of Style Mutt Dog Boutique for giving our new 3 year old, 5.8 lb mini poodle, Nova, a much needed makeover! She went from looking like a tiny sheep to this!
