🐍🎃 Well, this might be one of the more unexpected Halloween surprises!

On Halloween night, our officers got called in about an 8-FOOT SNAKE after receiving a rather unusual call for service.

Our caller got quite the surprise when a snake literally fell through their ceiling from an abandoned upstairs unit! Talk about a Halloween scare! 😳

Thankfully, our officers were able to respond and safely secure the 8-foot python!!!!!

Our officers safely contained and transported the snake, and it's now secure and in good hands.

This is your friendly reminder:

ACOs respond to all kinds of animals - domestic, wildlife, and exotic.
Pythons and other exotics should never be released - it's unsafe for them, for native wildlife, and for the public.
If you see an unusual animal, don't try to catch it yourself. Call Animal Control right away.
Great job to our ACOs for a safe, professional pickup — no tricks, all treat!

🎃👻 HALLOWEEN SAFETY TIPS FROM CLEVELAND ANIMAL CARE & CONTROL! 🐾🧡

Halloween is full of spooky fun, but it can be scary for our furry friends! 🐶🐱 Help keep your pets safe this Halloween with a few simple tips:

🎃 Keep pets indoors! Even the friendliest pets can become frightened by costumes, strangers, and constant doorbell ringing.

🚪 Watch those doors! With trick-or-treaters coming and going, pets can easily slip outside and become lost. Make sure collars and ID tags are on, and microchips are up to date!

🎆 Keep them calm and comfortable! Halloween can be overwhelming. Give your pets a quiet, secure space away from the commotion.

🚫 Never leave pets unattended outside. Increased foot traffic and unusual activity can frighten animals and put them at risk.

🚨 Sadly, another dog has been dumped and left behind💔

This poor guy was dumped late last night, 10/25/26, around 11 PM in the Cleveland Metroparks.

Animals are not disposable. They are living, breathing beings who depend on us to do right by them. Dumping a dog and leaving them behind is unacceptable.

🐾 DO YOU RECOGNIZE THIS DOG? Do you know who he belongs to or have any information about what happened?

Please direct message us or call/text 216-857-1196 with any information.

Even the smallest piece of information could help us figure out who did this. Please share!
