Meet Drew! A happy, affectionate boy who strikes the perfect balance between playful fun and snuggly sidekick. He enjoys staying active and having a good time but keeps it easy-going, and when it’s time to unwind, he’s happiest curled up right next to his people.

Drew walks nicely on leash, making neighborhood strolls easy and enjoyable. Drew appears to be potty trained and already knows some great basics like sit, paw, and lay down. He is a smart boy who loves to learn! He does well in his crate and settles in comfortably.

During a recent sleepover, Drew showed promising potential with cats and, with proper introductions, could do well in a home with feline friends. He’s affectionate, eager to please, and ready to keep building on his good manners with his future family.

Drew did test positive for heartworm disease upon arrival, but the good news is that it’s treatable, and the cost of his treatment is covered thanks to Friends of CITY DOGS Cleveland . He’ll just need a calm, loving home where he can rest and recover during treatment before returning to normal dog activities. Fortunately, he is very good at being a couch potato and snuggle buddy.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s up for adventures but just as happy with couch cuddles, Drew might be your perfect match. Drew is around 2 years old and weighs 40 lbs.

Ivory is the kind of dog who melts hearts the moment you meet her. With her tongue adorably hanging out of her mouth at all times, she’s equal parts charming and hilarious. She's your daily reminder not to take life too seriously! This mama dog has clearly had a lot of litters in her life, and now she's ready for her own chance to be pampered.

At about 6 years old and 39 pounds, Ivory is a delightful spunky dumpling. She is excited to make new friends and can't get enough of human attention, which she shows through her wiggles and charming prances. She's a zoomie queen in the yards and loves bopping around after toys, especially if you join the fun and throw them for her. But she also takes plenty of breaks to check in for pets and attention. Ivory lights up for affectionate. When she gets butt scratches, she stomps her back feet in appreciation, and she'll wind around you like a cat in the hopes of more pets.

Ivory has some good manners down too. She is easy to manage on leash, knows how to sit, and seems like she could be housebroken. She's a peppy people-pleaser, eager to show what she knows with a gentle tail wag. Away from the kennel, we think she would be content to settle into a lower-key routine, balancing play time and casual strolls through the park with plenty of snuggle time on the couch.

If you’re searching for a dog who’s mellow yet silly, loving, and full of charm, Ivory is your girl. Her heart is big, her smile is unstoppable, and she’s ready to bring comfort and joy into a forever home.

Ganache is a sweet chocolate-colored treat! Friendly, wiggly and affectionate, Ganache is always excited to make new friends. He loves engaging with people and does cute little tippy taps when he's happy.

Lively and fun-loving, Ganache has also been playful with other dogs. He has been a regular participant in our play groups and might enjoy having another dog that matches his energy in his future home!

Sweet, peppy Ganache also has a bright mind and is attentive to his people. He knows how to sit and is food-motivated which could make him a quick learner. In a home of his own where he can have fun and soak up love in equal measure, we think he'll shine!

Ranger is scouting for a new home! This tenderhearted sweetheart who just wants to love and be loved. Plus, he is in the running for best ears at the kennel!

Ranger can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but give him a little time and he blossoms into the most affectionate companion. Once he feels safe, he’ll climb right into your lap and happily stay glued to your side. Physical touch is definitely his love language. Hugs, pets, belly rubs… Ranger soaks it all up with pure joy.

Once he's feeling comfortable, Ranger shows a curious mind and a more playful side. He enjoys toys and walks and has been easy to manage on leash. He also was playful meeting other dogs in play group. But, he's always ready for another snuggle break. Ranger also seems housebroken as he consistently keeps his kennel clean.

Need a little winter whimsy? Then meet derpy dude Dudley ✨ This delightful derpy guy is endearingly goofy, with an earnest enthusiasm life and infectious grin.

Dudley has the build of a beefy bro, but he melts for pets and affection. He's just happy to be there, getting attention and pets! He enjoys sniffing and exploring on walks, and makes an eager companion for hitting the trails. He is a hunky guy and occasionally gets bouncy when he is excited, but tends to settle into a pretty easy-going pace together.

Dudley is the type of pup who seems like he will thrive in the routine of a home rather than the chaos of the kennel environment. Treats are his passion amidst the hubbub, but he seems to crazy some peace and stability above all. He seems to know to go outdoors to do his business, so we guess he is housebroken. He has also been sociable with other dogs he has meet in play group.

Meet our peppy, pretty girl Peppermint! This bright brindle sweetheart has a silly yet mild-mannered personality. She could start out as a shy at first, but is quick to warm up and wiggle her way into the nearest lap. With people she is engaging and lights up for pets - especially neck scratches - as well as treats. Take a break, and she may lean right up against you.

Estimated to be around a year old, Peppermint is still a youngster. As she gets more comfortable, she shows her more playful, energetic, puppyish side. She likes to play and bust out the occasional zoomie, before settling back in for the important business of snuggling. With other dogs, Peppermint started off shy at first in play group, but can get more playful with time.

This year, Fondant Fancy's New Year's Resolution is to heal a broken heart! Fondant Fancy tested positive for heartworm when she arrived at the kennel, but she doesn't want to let this stop her from living life to the fullest. Fortunately, heartworm is treatable and cost is covered thanks to Friends of CITY DOGS Cleveland. She'll just need a calm, loving home where she can rest and recover before she's back to her usual merriment.

Fondant Fancy is as cute as a button and sweet as can be! This adorable short stack is plucky and personable, with an irresistible charm that helps her make fast friends with people. At just 35 lbs, she is a fun lady in a compact package.

Fondant Fancy has been described, affectionately as an attention hog - she rightly expects to be showered in cuddles and praise. When she gets pets or trundles along on walks, she sometimes snorts like a little piggy. She walks decently on leash, outside of a few moments of excitement, though she settles down quickly. In a home, we can see her enjoying a moderate activity level but also enjoying plenty of time cuddling on the couch and getting pampered like a princess.

Meet Alvie! He is an awesome puppy (estimated to be only around 7 months old) and he's waiting to shine with a family! He has done well meeting adults, children and other dogs, and is a total sweetheart.

Alvie enjoyed a day trip to a volunteer's house and he was a wonderful house guest. Here is what his host had to say:
-Alvie is an absolute sweetheart!
-Great in car, quiet and just layed down and slept on the way back
-A little excitable when first out because he's excited to go walk and play, but settles nicely
-Just wants to be in your lap and stays close
-Very well-behaved and no accidents during his stay
-A little skittish with strange/loud noises, looks to person for comfort
-He is quiet, calm and super loving
