Hathor gets a sleepover! Here's what her host had to say:

Hathor may have the name of a goddess, but she's much more Hufflepuff than Hathor: sweet, gentle, and still figuring out that the world can be a pretty nice place.
🐾 Personality: Sweet, gentle, affectionate, and just a little unsure of new things. She is an excellent work-from-home buddy, a great movie and couch companion, and is generous with kisses. She's happiest just hanging out with her people once she gets to know them.
🐕‍🦺 Walks: Walks nicely on a loose leash and loves to sniff everything.
🏡Manners: No accidents in the house, settled nicely in the crate (also settled quickly when left to roam in home alone), slept through the night in the bed with the human, and was very easy to live with.
🧸Learning: Toys are still a new concept, but she's already making progress. Stairs, furniture, and other "dog things" were a little intimidating at first, but every day she became more comfortable and confident.
🐯 Dogs & Cats: She has shown friendly, playful interest in other dogs and might love a confident canine sibling to help show her the ropes. She also had a promising interaction with a cat and was relaxed, curious, and easy to redirect (but we always suggest slow intros.)
🚘 Car: A car is not her favorite place so if you're looking for a road trip buddy, she might not be the one or it might take time to get there - but as a homebody and walking buddy, she shines!
💛 The Best Thing About Hathor: She may be cautious at first, but she's willing to try. Give her a little encouragement and you can almost watch her confidence grow in real time.

In just 48 hours, she went from nervous and unsure to walking stairs confidently, hopping onto the couch and bed by herself, and settling into home life. She's looking for some loving people who will go a little slow, be patient, and let her blossom at her own pace. If you're looking for a sweet dog who will reward you with kindness and kisses, Hathor is your girl. She is estimated to be around a year old and weighs about 40 lbs. Cordelia was recently pulled by FIDO's Companion Rescue Inc. with the goal of helping to get a sweet senior dog out of the kennel. During her spay, a routine surgery got a lot more complicated when it was discovered that this poor lady had a bunch of bladder stones! She should be feeling much better now, thank goodness, but if you wish to support the additional cost incurred by the rescue group, see the info below!

Meet the sweetest little pumpkin, Nala! Nala is a darling, quiet, sensitive girl who is easy to love. She may have started off shy, but she has really blossomed since going into a foster home! This sweet girl is on the lower-energy side, but she still gets the occasional case of the zoomies.

Nala has been getting along with the dogs and cats in her foster home. She has no problem being in her crate and she has been housebroken. Her favorite thing is being near her people, and she'll happily follow you around the house to keep you company.

It's Super Skeeter!! Skeeter is an all-around great young dog: he's energetic, derpy yet smart, entertaining and loving. And while he certainly fits the part of superhero, this Halloween, he's looking for his own hero who can bust him out of the stressful kennel.

Skeeter is adventurous and playful, and toys are totally his thing. He loves having a yard to romp and play chase or catch with his favorite toys and balls. Sometimes he likes to sprawl on his back to casually enjoy one of his balls from a relaxed angle. He has not quite mastered the finer points of "fetch" but he likes it when you're out there having a good time with him. With other dogs in play group, Skeeter has also been quite playful and he might do well with a canine companion.

Skeeter would certainly fit well into an active family that is ready to have fun and explore. But once he gets a chance to stretch his legs a bit, he settles nicely into a more laid back pace. He's quite attentive to his people and responds well to guidance. He's a bright pup that already knows sit and paw, and he seems like he'll be quick to pick up on more training in a home. He also seems like he could be housebroken. And when it's time to chill out, he's quite affectionate. Overall, he's ready to move into a place of his own.

This year for Halloween, Keldan is going as... a ballpark hot dog!

This happy nugget is a friendly, well-rounded fellow. He's been summed up as a playful gentleman - he has a light-hearted sense of fun, but is also a great listener, smart, and well-rounded.

Keldan is very engaging with people and attentive to his humans. While living in a foster home, he become a four-legged shadow to his person - he likes following you around and being close. He's eager to please and make you smile! His other hobbies including carrying his ball around, people watching on the porch, and snuggling on the couch.

Keldan showed good manners as a house guest. He is totally housebroken - no accidents. He also has been polite being left alone in a room of his own - he hangs out in his bed and is quiet overnight. On car rides, he's ready to hop in and join you on the trip. On walks, he starts of a bit excited, but then settles into a nice little trot. He also has been playful meeting other dogs in play group and he is generally curious about the world around him. Keldan seems like he is more comfortable with mature, laid-back energy and would prefer a home without younger kids since they can be more noisy and busy.

All in all, Keldan is great about matching your vibes. He's been a pleasant companion for walks, casual play time, cuddles and more. Handsome Keldan is estimated to be around 3 years old and weighs 49 lbs. Visit www.tinyurl.com/meetacitydog to set up a meet!

Meet Keely - a fabulous unicorn of a dog! Estimated to be around a year old, she is happy-go-lucky and lots of fun. Adorable, playful, loving smart - Keely really is the whole package for someone who is looking for a friend to grow and bond with.

Keely is excited and happy to get out and enjoy all sorts of activities together. She is entertaining in our play yards and loves romping and zooming around with a toy. She also enjoys exploring on walks and other adventures. With other dogs in play group, she was playfully social for her assessment and might make a silly playmate for another like-minded dog. While out and about, she passes others with good-natured tail wags.

Keely is also sweet and smart. She seems like she could be housebroken as she consistently keeps her kennel space clean. She also knows how to sit and takes treats nicely. With her bright mind and people-oriented nature, she is easy to guide and eager to learn.

Meet Coraline - a wiggly, sociable girl who is a total delight. And in addition to her charming, radiant personality, she's gorgeous!

Coraline is a happy, active dog with an overall easy-going disposition. She's very personable and engaging with people. With her bright mind and attentiveness, she is very responsive to guidance and would likely be pick to pick up on a new routine and training. In fact, we could see her enjoying the chance to learn tricks with her new person.

Coraline enjoys activity but also does a nice job entertaining herself when needed. She will merrily pick up a toy and have fun - but she likes it more when you join in with her. With other dogs during her play group assessment, Coraline was social with a more soft/gentle play style. She has also been calm/polite out on walks when passing others. It also seems like she could be housebroken and she knows how to sit for treats.

Sweet Coraline tested positive for heartworm when she arrived at the kennel, but fortunately it is treatable and of City Dogs Cleveland covers the cost. All Coraline needs is a loving home where she can rest and recover before getting back to normal dog activities. In the meantime, we think she'll make a good cuddle buddy.
