We are having technical difficulties with my Instagram. I can post there fine, but it won’t let me share to my FB page. It does always share to Mom’s personal account for some reason, which we could never do. We hate that Meta keeps changing how things are set up without logic. It’s dumb, respectfully.
Mom tried troubleshooting a few things today to no avail. For the time being and until she has time to keep trying new things, we will be posting on FB only.

I hope everyone has a peaceful Memorial Day. 🇺🇸
Ellie and Mom went to the for exposure training. She got to experience the busiest park she’s ever seen with parties and cookouts all around.
She was paw-tastic! Not a single bark at anyone. A Great Dane owner saw what Mom and Ellie were training and waved and gave a 👍🏻 from a safe distance.
They finished off their training with a short trail walk.

Ellie update post!
Mom has been working so hard with Ellie. Ellie went to training again yesterday and hit a major milestone.
Ellie has been working to exist with other dogs. This is done safely with stuffed dogs. Mom has also been doing this at a safe distance in the park.
Yesterday, the behaviorist pushed Ellie’s comfort level with a live, unfamiliar dog in THE SAME ROOM!
Could you guess how that went?
Well. Ellie did fantastic! No barking, no growling and lots of positive reinforcement. If she has one more positive session with a live dog, the behaviorist will put her in the same room as another reactive dog. This will be done safely in a controlled environment.
One thing to note, Ellie will never, in the rest of her life be allowed to be up close and personal with another dog. That’s not our goal. Our goal is to show her that she can exist in close proximity to other dogs without the need to feel anxious.
Ellie was a ROCKSTAR and got a glowing write up on her report for the session. Having an anxious dog isn’t always just medicating and hoping that fixes the problem. It’s a lifestyle change.
We were committed from the get-go to help Ellie. We had someone close to us who tried to make us feel “less than” for even considering helping Ellie. The best thing you can do when someone does that is…prove them wrong.
Well, here Ellie is. Being her best version of herself.
