Fresh de-sheds for Eddie and Jordy. Below are some tips if you are struggling with shedding right now.

* Dogs shed on a 21 day cycle. Set a reminder on your phone to brush every 2 weeks.
* Monthly baths can make a huge difference.
* Use a conditioner and coat spray even if your dog has short hair. The goal is to make the hair slippery so it falls out easier.
* For long haired coats do not get your dog wet if you are not able to brush them afterwards. This will make matting worse. This includes swimming unfortunately.
* As always don’t be afraid to ask for brush recommendations.

Just a reminder, 4th of July is the number one day of the year when dogs are lost. Make sure collars are tight and have current tags on them. If you don’t have tags for your dog a piece of duct tape will work. Stay safe and enjoy! 🎉

About Center Stage Dog Grooming

Since I was young I’ve loved animals — both learning about and taking care of them. I have a degree in animal science and have been grooming and training dogs for many years. I love having the opportunity to share my love of animals with my clients and pet owners all over the Clear Lake, Amery, Deer Park, Clayton, Barron, and New Richmond area.

I pride myself on the high-standard of care and services that I offer. I have a number of clients who have become more like family, and customers who consider me to be an integral member of their family. I hope I get the chance to meet your lovely pet soon.
