I hate to post such a long message but please read it through to the end - THANKS

Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you know, for the past 7 ½ years, Diana and I have run a ministry to at-risk teens and young adults. Called “Redeemer’s Ranch” we use horses to help develop relationships with the kids. (Check out our page at redeemersranchwi.)
The bottom line is evangelism and discipleship. We have seen many young people come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. It’s been a challenge. About 90% of the kids that come here are from broken homes or homes that have drug and alcohol problems. Most of the young ladies have been sexually abused in some way. We have helped a number of teens that were pregnant. Physical abuse is common.
God has truly blessed our ministry. He has changed lives and healed broken hearts. He has brought broken families back together. Over the years, 101 people have stayed with us short term. He has given both of us the gifts of evangelism and hospitality. We have an awesome church family that helps out a lot. He has also provided teens that work here part-time doing chores each day.
We also use fishing and other outdoor activities to help reach the kids. In the past, if we took someone fishing, we would let them use our equipment and tackle. This year we changed that a bit. Gathering donated rods, reels and tackle, we can now give the teens their own rod, reel and tackle box full of lures! That way they can go on their own or with someone else. Our hope is that they will take up fishing instead of getting in trouble doing other things.
What you may not know is that we have been paying all the expenses for this ministry out of our own pockets, Using some inheritance and disability payments (I lost the sight in my left eye) we have been able to buy 40 acres in northern Wisconsin, build a house (with three extra bedrooms) and two barns. Buy horses and tack, etc. Feed bills, hay, vets bills, farrier services, you name it.
The problem is that the money is gone! Saving, inheritance, disability, all used up. We were just able to get set up with the State of Wisconsin as a non-profit. We’re still working on the feds (I.R.S.) to complete things.
We need help. Lots of it. We’re looking at a $2,000 bill for hay for next winter soon. $400 a month for feed. $1,000 for the vet. The bills keep coming. Our only income is our disability income that just covers our monthly household expenses.
Could you prayerfully consider if God is calling you to partner with us in this important ministry to at-risk young people? If you feel lead to help, any amount would be awesome!
Thank you and may God richly bless you!

Well we finally did it. After almost 8 years of paying all the expenses for the Redeemer's Ranch ministry ourselves. We have finally registered with the State of Wisconsin as a non- profit ministry. (Our page is redeemersranchwi )

I thank God that he has provided the necessary funding so far. I will continue to ask Him to provide in the future. As of June 1st, we are asking for donations to keep Redeemer's Ranch in operation. Here are some examples, $100 per week for a student to do chores every day. The feed bill runs about $500 a month. 400 bales of hay for the year at $6.00 per bale cost $2,400.00! That should give you an idea of some of the costs.

The bottom line at Redeemer's Ranch is to see Teens and Young Adults come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord And Savior. We try to meet them wherever they are in their life's struggles and help to meet their needs. For example, we have had 101 "guests" stay with us! Currently we are looking a the possibility of 2 or 3 more moving in soon.

One of the things we do is give a free Bible to anyone that needs one. We buy them by the case! They are $3.99 each. Most days, several kids will come by after school and raid the frig and pantry. Many don't have any food at home because all the money gets spent on drugs. One young lady had no winter clothes. She came here in the middle of our Wisconsin winer wearing a sweatshirt and open crocks! Diana took her shopping for what she needed. We have helped 4 pregnant girls in their time of need. About 90% of the teens will see come for broken homes. Almost all of the girls have been sexually abused in one way or another. The list goes on and on...

With God's help we will continue to reach these kids.I would ask that you prayfully consider becoming a partner in reaching these needy young people. Please pray for them and for us!

In service to the King of Kings!

Len

Welcome to Redeemer's Ranch Wisconsin!
Here at Redeemer’s Ranch in Clear Lake Wisconsin, we work with teenagers and young adults wherever they are in their lives. Offering a safe place and a Christ centered atmosphere is often just what they need.
Kids love horses! By offering them an opportunity to learn about and spend time with their “adopted” horse, we build strong relationships with them as well.
Depending on their skill level, we start by showing them the proper way to groom and care for the horses. Next, they learn basic groundwork. Then it’s on to saddles, blankets, bridles and other tack.
If they are just starting out, we begin in the round pen, then work up to our small arena. Once they feel they are ready and we agree, then they get to explore 40 acres of trails with a small group. Loping and cantering come later.
