🚨National Pet Preparedness Month🚨
Disasters and emergencies can happen when we least expect them. The best time to prepare for your pet is before an emergency strikes!
Pet Emergency Preparedness Checklist:
•Keep at least 3–7 days of food and water on hand
•Pack medications and medical records in a waterproof bag
•Include a leash, collar, harness, and carrier
•Keep recent photos of your pet for identification purposes
•Make sure ID tags and microchip information are up to date
•Have comfort items ready, like a favorite toy or blanket
💡 Pro Tip: Create two emergency kits! One for home and one travel ready kit in case you need to evacuate quickly.
A little preparation today can make a big difference during an emergency. Take a few minutes this month to review your family's emergency plan and ensure your pets are included!
