Shade is one of our yearling fillies that exceeded what we expected! We knew Mojos first foal was going to be fantastic but boy did he stamp Shade!

This lovely girl is available and will have an official sale add come June!

Remember our little “buckskin” that was really dark bay? This is her! This filly is bred to RUN! Her dam is our OTTQH mare Margarita who was a former 1D barrel horse and wannabe Polo pony! Her sire is our Polo bred grandson of Sacred Indian!

Five days old and getting stronger!

Every once in a while we will have a foal born needing to have a little extra help, Chavez is one of those foals. He is a BIG c**t. One of the biggest newborns we’ve ever had and because of that he didn’t have a lot of extra room. He was born with contracted tendons. Which can be common and happen for a lot of different reasons.

With the help of splints and limited movement he’s getting stronger and straighter everyday. We are an aware his legs look a little different but they will be just fine! Sometimes it takes a foal a little longer to unfold and trust us it has not hindered Chavez in the slightest. He’s full of personality and loves to “help” putting on his splints.

We like to show all sides of our program. Especially the ones that have teachable moments!

Our next mare is due the 31st! And she’s getting closer and closer. Stay tuned and keep watching this little hams progress!

Aren’t genetics wild?

These fillies are cousins on paper. Boo’s (Dark Bay) sire “Hess Bodidly” and Roja’s (Chestnut) dam “Crown H Zinger” are full siblings.

Both fillies are by 15H sires. Both fillies are maiden foals. The only difference? One dam is 15H and the others is 15.3H.

Both are Polo bred. One is a yearling and one is barely a three year old. And both have been enjoying the rainy weather and the mud!

“Devons Flying Pie “ aka Margarita is due tomorrow, but she has been known to go a day early! She’s bred to our APHA Stallion, “Change My Mojo”.

Shes definitely showing signs of foaling!

She can only have black based foals and there’s a 50% change of grey so color is pretty much set!

“Hess Bodidly” aka Bo a 2015 Black/ Brown JC Thoroughbred Stallion by Small Change (North Rock) out of Sassy Suzie Q (Meadow Prayer)

Apparently, Bo thought all the mares would appreciate his reenactment of Walter Farleys “The Black Stallion”.

Bo replaced his late sire in our breeding program and had his first foal last year. He is expecting three foals this year!

His 2025 filly knocked it out of the park. He’s proving to be like his sire a throw quiet smart and ATHLETIC foals.

Bo is the first Small Change c**t and we are so glad we have him to carry on Changes legacy. We can’t wait to see his babies on the Polo field!

Bumpdates!!

Posted in order of foaling:

Our first mare up is “Devons Flying Pie” aka Margarita. She’s due May 18th with a full sibling to our yearling filly, “Ride Boldlee Ride” aka Shade. She has started waxing and is starting to “V”. It’s only a matter of time until we see a baby!

Our next mare is “Morning Valentine” aka Smack!
This one was a surprise! After preg checking open twice she pulled a fast one on us and our vet and is very, VERY pregnant! If everything lines up correctly she is due May 31st, with a full sibling to our yearling filly, “Bo’s Morning Boo” aka Boo! She’s pretty bagged up and is starting to drop in her barrel!

Third due is “Bring The Check” aka Lola! Shes due June 7th with a “Hess Bodidly” foal! This baby took a lot of prayers and we are hoping for a safe delivery!

Fourth up is “Meanerthanthedevil” aka Moxx! She’s due to foal June 9th with a “Pastels Smart Lena” foal. This will be her first AQHA Appendix foal!

Last due but certainly not least is “Midnight Mindset” aka Minnie! Shes due June 13th with a “Hess Bodidly” foal!

We can’t wait for these babies to hit the ground! We are so so excited! Polo prospects and more!

In honor of the 152nd Kentucky Derby we thought we’d honor our favorite off the track horses. We are a huge supporter of OTTB and OTTQH. We have had over 21 OTTB’s over the years. Record holders and stakes holders that turned into Polo Ponies and All Arounds.
While not all of them are featured, we adore all of them.
If you look closer you’ll see the Kentucky Derby winners that influence our program interlaced in all of our horses pedigrees.
May all the contenders have a safe race and God bless the Thoroughbred!

We are sad to hear about the passing of Sophisticated Catt. He was the sire of one of our favorite lesson/made polo ponies “Pretty Runnin Catt” aka Pink! While we didn’t know him on a personal level, if his daughter is anything like he was, he was a great one!

Pink is what we call a super kitty, she’s by a Highbrow Cat son out of a Storm Cat daughter. She took after her sire looks, and size wise. She is the same deep liver chestnut!

We purchased Pink in hopes of using her as a broodmare in the future. Unfortunately, Pink (due to no fault of hers) is not breeding sound and that’s okay! Pink is one of our go to’s for a using horse and we love her!
