Merry Christmas. It’s time for large family gatherings and lots of noise. Even some of the best trained dogs can get overstimulated. If that’s your dog you need to advocate for him and put him in a crate. It’s not fair to force people on to your dog if he’s uncomfortable. It’s unfair to force your dog on people if they are uncomfortable. Auntie Edna does not want your dog climbing all over her, and your dog doesn’t want Uncle Eddie in his face. If your dog isn’t absolutely bullet proof, behaviorally, then put them up.
