A couple of friendly reminders to help ensure it is a safe and healthy one for the four legged members of your family (In other words, we want you to enjoy a nice weekend at home instead of having to make a trip to the emergency veterinarian!):

1. NO CHOCOLATE for pets!! Like us, dogs LOVE Chocolate and will consume large amounts very quickly – unlike us however, chocolate is toxic to dogs – signs can vary from vomiting and diarrhea for small amounts consumed, to collapse and even death if a large amount is consumed relative to body size. Please keep all chocolate WELL out of reach of your pets.

2. LILIES ARE TOXIC TO CATS! Even a small amount of pollen licked off of their fur can make them make them very sick – it can even be fatal! To be safe, don’t have Easter Lilies in your house if you have cats.

3. BEWARE OF β€˜GARBAGE GUT’ (aka Dietary Indiscretion)! Most pets have relatively sensitive digestive tracts. Table food whether given intentionally as a treat or accidently because the pet got into the garbage – can cause severe stomach upset and a painful, potentially life threatening condition called pancreatitis. Your pet will be happy just spending time with you – they don’t need any β€˜extra special treats’ to celebrate with.

Also, as final reminder – since Easter weekend happens to coincide with 4:20 this year – please remember to keep all Marijuana containing products well out of reach of your pets! Dogs seem to like the taste of marijuana cigarettes (joints) and of course (being dogs) they will consume any edible products they can find – often ending up with a very large dose all at once. It can make them very ill.

MISSING - $1,000 REWARD if brought back. Reposting since he’s still not back. He’s a male pug almost 5 years old. Went into the woods off Nicholson Road and Montclair in Cu***ng (Forsyth Co) GA early Sunday morning (10/18). PLEASE help bring my sweet boy back. He’s really shy and likely won’t come to you. I miss him terribly.
Our rescue pup, Brian, had terrible allergies when we adopted him a year ago. He had previously been treated with Apoquel which only helped with itching. Additionally, we were told to change his diet to a skin sensitive one. The allergies continued. We had him allergy tested and he turned out being allergic to just about everything under the sun. Finally, we reached out for an alternative to the traditional methods and found Dr. Stern of Healing Creatures Animal Hospital and made an appointment. Following our visit, which included a thorough checkup and a couple of tests, Dr. Stern recommended a change in diet and two Chinese herbs. Since then our Brian had made a tremendous turn-around whereby he now has his hair grown back in, normal looking skin, and NO skin yeast infections. Thanks to Dr. Stern and her great staff for everything! They are compassionate and caring. They have gone over and above caring for Brian and explaining his condition in words we can understand. If you are having difficulties with your furry family members, PLEASE go see Dr. Stern at Healing Creatures Animal Hospital.
GRATITUDE for Dr. Stern, Tracey, and Pier for helping me help an iguana who two weeks ago presented in my back yard trees, and today greeted Jasper and me on our kitchen window sill. I am not a reptile person however I was happy to help this cute little fella enjoy some fresh greens and cantaloupe so he could find his way into a safe carrier for transport. Jasper and I can rest easy tonight knowing he is with professionals who can properly care for him. You all are the BEST! Our Love and Appreciation for you!
I just want give a huge thank you to Dr. Stern and her staff for the utmost compassion they showed me today with my Kokopelli. I appreciate everything you did to try an save my chinchilla πŸ’™πŸ’œπŸ’šβ™₯️❀️
If it wasn't for the love n compassion of Dr. Linda Stern n her staff, Gizmo wouldn't be this happy little guy again. THANK YOU
