☔️ Sprinkles or Sparkles?! ✨️

I'm not sure, but what I do know is that it's time to start picking our garlic scapes!!! 🧄🧄🧄

If you grew garlic this season, come take a little look in the garden with me as I pull up my first garlic scapes. You'll be amazed at how easy it is!

Garlic scapes are the stalks of the garlic plant that are preparing to flower and go to seed. When we pick them now, we divert energy from flowering and send it back into the bulbs so that the bulb can grow as big as possible before it's time to harvest. Scapes can be used in many recipes and are a delicious part of the plant that we don't want to go to waste!

🍳 Pestos, salads, sautés, oh my!!!

If you didn't start garlic this year, don't worry- Once fall comes around (let's not rush it!) I'll show you how easy it is to start that too!

And lastly, I'll have my scapes at our first market which takes place on June 21st from 9:00am to 1:00pm at the corner of Delaware Ave and Delaware Rd.

Tomato Tips & CoffeeTalk!!!

It's time to trim these babies up a little!

By removing the lower leaves that may be touching the dirt, not only am I increasing air flow around the plant, but I'm also reducing the most likely way for disease to spread-
We never want our plant leaves touching the soil for too long!

Here you'll see me trimming off the lowest branches and suckers of my tomatoes. As the plants get a little bigger, I will do it again so that they each have a nice and sturdy, clean stalk. I choose to leave most of my suckers on the tomatoes but that decision is entirely up to you. There's always debate over whether it's better to leave them or trim them. I vote for more tomatoes and that's the experience I've had when I leave them!

Started to get the gardens planted but there is still a ways to go!

Need to get a soil drop off for the new beds that I put down but haven't filled yet. Then it's on to Greens and Beans!

What an amazing outpouring of love we experienced last weekend! 🙏🙏🙏

Both our presale event and public sale we're great successes and I could not be more grateful for all the support that we received. Support came from far and wide - not only from our customers, but also from many friends and family that stepped up to the plate to make it happen.

It is an incredible joy for me to be able to help build your gardens and to be here for you so that you too can find success in growing your own food.

Thank you again to everyone who came out and helped in any way.
