Do Over Dogs

Do Over Dogs Do Over Dogs is a 501(c)(3) Colorado foster-based organization that rescues at-risk shelter dogs.

Do Over Dogs is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that gives at-risk shelter dogs a second chance at life. As a rescue, our main priority is to save dogs and puppies from 'death row' and eventually place them in forever homes. These sweet pups come from awful backgrounds-full of abuse, neglect and sadness. Our goal is to rehabilitate these animals, and place them into homes that allow them to feel like a family member rather than a yard ornament or prisoner.

Aloka, a dog walking 2,300 miles across America alongside Buddhist monks, is spreading peace and compassion in every city he passes through. While the Walk for Peace journey began in Fort Worth, Texas, Aloka's journey began 8,400 miles away in India. He was once a stray wandering the streets when he began following a group of monks on a peace walk.

As the monks continued their 100-day journey across India, Aloka stayed with them and was a guiding light. Today, he continues that same journey, and he's lighting up the faces of children and families all across America. Aloka is about 4 years old and is likely an Indian Pariah dog, according to the monks. Each morning, people along the road see him calmly walking beside them. Sometimes he wears a scarf that reads "Aloka." And other times it says "Walk for Peace."

Aloka receives regular veterinary checkups along the journey to ensure his health and wellbeing. He also rests whenever he needs to. On December 9, 2025, the monks created a page called Aloka the Peace Dog, and it has already grown to over 320,000 followers. Along the way, people show him love with treats and toys. Aloka also has a white patch on his forehead that naturally forms a heart. It feels like his presence was needed to show the true meaning of kindness.

Do you know who this is?
We are seeking help in identifying this man in connection with an animal cruelty case involving two dogs. If you know who he is, please contact us at (719) 583-6250, reference #34756 or call at (719) 542-7867.

There have been many comments about the incomplete photo, however, this was the only photo that we have. We realize it is not the best, but we are hopeful someone can identify him based on his physical characteristics.

🚨URGENT🚨ADOPTER NEEDED FOR 2 YR OLD PICKLE‼️🥺💔

One of our previous fosters was at the humane society to pickup a “spicy” cat that was about to be euthanized. While in line, she overheard someone surrendering their dog. The humane society said the dog would be euthanized due to biting his doggy brother at home. Our foster walked over & interrupted, and found out disturbing details. Not only was the bite was over a bone (when the husky brother attempted to steal it) this person was keeping BOTH dogs -an Aussie and a husky- in a crate - together - for 12 hours a day. 2 years old, setup for failure, and ultimately death.😭

Our foster couldn’t stomach to see this happen so she packed up the spicy cat and Pickle, and saved two lives that day.

PICKLE BIO-
“Pickle must be an only dog. While he gets along with others in short bursts, it’s important that he is an only (canine) child in his permanent home. Pickle does well with cats and his previous owner reports he did well with children. 🐈 🐈‍⬛

Pickle is a purebred Australian Shepherd. He is 2 years old and 46lbs. Pickle requires an active lifestyle because of his age and breed.

Pickle is sweet, loyal, and wholeheartedly believes he is a lapdog. He is crate-trained, walks well on a leash, and is both treat-motivated and eager to please. He loves to play fetch and go on hikes. Pickle does struggle with mild separation anxiety, but his foster has found that he does well in a covered crate with relaxing music playing in the background.

Pickle is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $280 to cover the cost of his vetting (and not a cent extra).

Please apply to adopt Pickle by following this link (THIS IS A PRIVATE REHOME)

🆘 Roswell has been facing a CRISIS 🆘

When we first started rescuing from Roswell, euthanasias were infrequent - and now they are killing dogs weekly.None of these dogs will make it out tomorrow. No Christmas, no New Years, no tomorrow. If you are interested in saving a life, contact a Colorado rescue. Consider fostering. YOU ARE THE ONLY HOPE THEY HAVE. It’s heartbreaking and it’s true.

There are transports up from Roswell frequently. This is one of the easiest shelters to rescue from- yet soooo many dogs and puppies are dying. Roswell, do better. Colorado - PLEASE HELP!

What we are witnessing in right now is brutal. The need for help is coming two months earlier than most winters. We have received constant pleas for assistance for dogs left outside, dogs left behind, and residents asking to surrender their dogs due to housing hardships.

We have witnessed dogs on chains in severe temperatures and we are doing our best to get those dogs surrendered AND find room to take them all in.

We don’t usually see this kind of need until January, but this winter November hit hard and December isn’t slowing down.

This is a call to action:
BRING YOUR DOGS INSIDE!

It is too cold for any dog to be left outside for any long period of time.

How can you help? Our shelter is filling up fast and soon we will be relying on our emergency boarding spaces which cost is about $50 per night, per dog.
If you can help with a night of boarding please donate at:

FOSTERS! Mount up! We need ya!
We NEED fosters for medium and large dogs.
We supply all medical care, food, and supplies. We just need you to supply a home and some love.

It’s going to be a brutal winter here in Detroit.
The cold came early, but we don’t quit.
Thank you for your continued compassion and support for the dogs of Detroit.

THE LAST 4 ABANDONED PUPPIES MADE IT!!!! YAHOOOOOO!!!! 🎊 🎉

We are so grateful for one amazing human who flew to TX, rented a car, picked up the 4 chunky pups, and drove 14 hours back. Solo! 😳

Although this amazing volunteer didn’t ask for reimbursement (she stated she “did it for the good mojo and to help those beautiful puppies”)- she still spent a few hundred dollars out of her own pocket to make it happen ‼️💰

We’ve offered to try to raise funds to reimburse $150 from her trip, and since there is no $ left from the last fundraiser - we are hoping to raise donations through social media. Until They’re Home is the amazing 501c3 organization who agreed to take all 11 puppies , and will reimburse the driver with any donations noted - “Sandra” or “Puppy Driver” ❤️

PS All 11 puppies are ridiculously adorable!!! They will be ready for adoption soon!😍🥰 🐾
