Water Day for the puppies!

We had the puppy pool and splash pad for the puppies to learn all about fun with water!

Using food and toys as encouragement, we let the puppies investigate at their own comfort and pace.
Some were natural water dogs, and others needed some warming up to the idea, but everyone got their feet wet and had fun.
They didn’t want to leave!

Big naps for everyone afterwards. 💤

We have been working really hard on vet handling with Huck to help him feel more comfortable with exams.

This weekend he needed to go in for a broken puppy tooth and his people were happy to report that he did amazing for his visit! 🦷

We've been working with Huck on a vet handling procedure for a jugular blood draw at the request of his vet and his people. We needed to back up a step today to a one hand hold, because there is an equipment element (muzzle) which he's also been working on and combining that piece with the 2 hand hold proved to be too big a leap and we want to be sure we let him set the pace on progression so we get good feelings about it all. We'll be back at it next week for the final elements. It's coming along nicely!
