About Jim & Alyssa

Horse & Hound Pet Photography was created and founded by Alyssa Harrington and Jim Cairns-Both internationally published photographers. Alyssa has 20+ years of knowledge in the equine world and an extensive background riding gymkhana horses, jumpers and dressage horses as well as years of experience handling youngsters and working as a stable hand for almost 8 years. Combined with the technical skill in lighting, composition and photography both her and Jim make a really good team.

Our inspiration to start a pet photography business together was our love for our own pets- we have quite a zoo. 1 horse, 2 dogs and 2 cats. We got our feet wet initially by volunteering at local animal rescues to help dogs, cats and horses find their forever homes with beautiful photographs. There is never a dull moment :) Feel free to reach out to us about booking a session. Pets have a special place in every family and we want to capture those awesome memories you cherish with them.
