🌟 **Volunteer of the Month: Terry!** 🌟

Terry is a valued member of our Sisters, OR hippotherapy volunteer team, and her dedication shines through in so many ways! Each week, she faithfully supports therapy sessions, helps coordinate volunteers to fill open spots, and serves as a wonderful ambassador for StirrUp Purpose in the Sisters community. Always willing to lend a hand, Terry takes the initiative to prepare the arena for sessions, helps with events, and continues to build her horsemanship skills so she can better support our Horse Handlers. Her background in special education also brings a special gift for connecting with our young clients, making her an incredible support to our therapists and the entire team. 🐴💚

🎃 It looks like our horses had a little help with their Halloween costumes this year! 🐴👻

Usually, our horses take care of their own Halloween looks, but this year, some of our students got to step in and help dress them up! We loved seeing them get creative and be part of the fun.

At StirrUp Purpose, it’s these little moments and shared experiences that make what we do so special. ❤️

Please join us in welcoming Aunyka to the StirrUp Purpose team! 🐴

Aunyka has been riding horses since she was 8 years old and spent many years competing before taking a break from competition to play volleyball throughout college. She continued riding and staying connected to the equestrian world through her fiancé’s family. With a love for horses, children, and the outdoors, we’re excited to have her bring her passion to StirrUp Purpose!

🌟 **Volunteer of the Month: Bill Baer!** 🌟

Bill is the heart behind the meals at our summer veterans and first responder retreats! From hot coffee bright and early to incredible dinners and mouthwatering breakfasts, Bill makes sure our retreat participants are always well-fed and happy. ☕🍳

From Thursday through Sunday, Bill sets up camp, handles all the cooking, and volunteers his entire weekend to make these retreats special.

Bill, thank you for the time, heart, and hard work you pour into StirrUp Purpose. We couldn’t do it without you! ❤️

Another year of retreats in the books. 🤍

What makes these weekends so special isn’t just the horses or the places we ride. It’s the camaraderie—the shared stories, the laughter, the miles together, and the friendships that grow along the way.

We’re grateful for every person who joined us this year and for the horses who make these experiences possible.

Here’s to good people, good horses, shared purpose, and finding a little more of ourselves along the way. 🐴🤍

🐴 Volunteer of the Month! 🐴
This month, we’re giving a BIG shoutout to all of the amazing barn rats who spent their summer helping out at StirrUp Purpose! 💚
These kids chose to spend their summer at the barn—working hard, learning horsemanship, helping with the horses, and jumping in wherever they were needed. We are so grateful for the time, energy, and enthusiasm they brought with them all summer long!

We’re so excited to welcome Avery to the StirrUp Purpose team! 🐴

Avery has been riding since she was five and has developed a lifelong love for horses and horsemanship. With experience in hunter-jumpers and natural horsemanship, she especially enjoys working with young horses and helping them build confidence and a strong foundation.

We’re thrilled to have Avery joining us and can’t wait for you all to get to know her!

There’s something special about women coming together, horses beneath them, mountains all around, and the chance to simply slow down and connect. 🤎🐴
Our August Women’s Veterans & First Responders Retreat was filled with trail rides, laughter, campfires, meaningful conversations, and time spent building connection with women who share a unique bond through service.
We’re so grateful to every woman who joined us and helped make this retreat so special. ❤️
