Living their best meow starts with feeling their best, too. 🐾

Cats are experts at hiding pain or illness, which is why preventative care matters more than most people realize. Regular wellness exams help catch things early, keep vaccines up to date, monitor dental health, and make sure your kitty stays happy, healthy, and thriving for years to come.

Because the goal isn’t just more years with your cat… it’s more healthy years. 🤍

If your feline friend is due for a checkup, give us a call and let’s keep them living their best meow. 541.382.9262.

There’s no better reading companion than a dog who thinks your lap is their personal nap station. Science backs it up — pet ownership is linked to lower stress, better heart health, and more moments that feel exactly like this. 🌿🐶

We didn’t go into veterinary medicine just to keep your pets healthy. We did it so you could have more afternoons like this one.

Foxtails + cheatgrass may look harmless, but they can cause serious problems for pets. 🌾

These tiny barbed weeds can get stuck in paws, ears, noses, and eyes, leading to painful infections and even surgery.

After hikes, walks, or time in tall grass, do a quick check of your pet’s paws, ears, and belly fur.

If something seems off, don’t wait to get them checked 💛

Tiny appointments. Big impact.

From nail trims to checking those pearly whites, preventative care helps keep your dog comfortable, healthy, and feeling their best. Long nails can affect mobility, and dental issues can sneak up fast, which is why regular checkups matter more than most people realize.

Plus… who can resist those sweet faces during an exam?

Ready to schedule your pup’s next visit with High Desert Veterinary? We’d love to see them.

Do you know why puppies chew on everything?

Those tiny razor-sharp baby teeth aren’t permanent. Puppies start losing their baby teeth around 3–4 months old, and by about 6 months they’ve usually grown a full set of adult teeth. All that chewing helps loosen baby teeth and soothe sore gums while the new ones come in.

So if your puppy is suddenly treating your shoes like a snack… teething might be the reason.

If you ever have questions about your puppy’s teeth or development, our team is always happy to take a look. 🐾
