🐾 Spay/Neuter Shuttle Program 🐾

A friendly reminder that the Bedford Humane Society, in partnership with Angels of Assisi, continues to offer a monthly spay/neuter shuttle for Bedford County residents at a discounted cost for cats and dogs.

The shuttle transports pets from Bedford Humane Society to Angels of Assisi for surgery, with additional services like vaccinations and microchipping also available. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.

We have partnered with Angels of Assisi to bring the residents of Bedford County a discounted option for spaying/neutering their cats and dogs.  The shuttle runs once a month and picks up/drops off animals at Bedford Humane Society, transporting them to Angels of Assisi for surgery.

Meet Mini 🖤

Mini was born around September 2025 and had a rough start in life after being found as a tiny kitten with a chin injury. Thanks to surgery and care from a kind rescuer, he’s now healed and ready for his forever home.

Mini is a playful, energetic kitten who loves to run and play—especially with other cats. When he’s done, he turns into a sweet lap cat who enjoys settling in for cuddle time.

Because of his high energy, Mini would do best in a home without young children. He’s looking for a family who will enjoy his playful spirit and his affectionate side.

Little summer update on Jolene 🐾💦

Our girl is making the most of the warm weather and showing off her favorite summer activity—splashing around in her kiddy pool! Watching her soak, splash, and play like she doesn’t have a care in the world is exactly the kind of joy we love to see.

Jolene is still patiently waiting for her forever home after more than two years with us, but she hasn’t let that dim her spirit one bit. She’s still full of personality, happiness, and plenty of zoomies between water breaks.

We’re hoping this summer might finally be the one where she gets her happily ever after. 🏡💛

Tater, one of our former adoptables, has officially traded shelter life for the sweetest forever home—and judging by this photo, he’s living the dream.

Now he spends his days doing what matters most: napping side-by-side with his new sibling and soaking up all the love he could ever need. Seeing him this content is exactly why we do what we do.

Annie’s journey has been incredible ❤️🐾

At just 5 months old, Annie was found homeless while caring for her three kittens. While her babies quickly found homes, Annie was terrified of people and unsure how to trust.

After months of patience and love in foster care, Annie has blossomed into a sweet girl who now enjoys pets, treats, quiet companionship, and even purrs for her foster family. She’s still shy at first, but we know she has so much love to give to the right person willing to give her time to adjust.

Annie is spayed, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV negative, and may even do well with a calm dog companion 🐱
