Meet Appealing - our beautiful 5 yo homebred mare. Appealing “Pearl” made her first show debut at the Trimble’s Ridge Horse Show at the Lexington, Virginia Horse Center. Big things to come from this young mare.

Just home from Kentucky! Laura and Nelson were stars. They ended up winning the hack and were third over fences in their warmup division on Friday.
Saturday, Nelson earned an 85.2 during the flat phase of the USHJA Amateur Championship to get 9th out of 55 horses in the younger adults.
Nelson was very brave the final day and put in respectable trips to be 13th in their age group and 18th overall out of 101 horses.
And my new scooter saved me from walking many miles!
Downside was waking up at 5 a.m.
We were happy to have qualified and gone!

We are greatly saddened to announce the passing of our one and only Hunter L. King on New Year's Day. He was a loving husband, father, friend and mentor to countless equestrians over the decades. The world lost a legendary horseman, but we will all cherish his lessons of grit, compassion and humor.

A service will be held in his honor at 11 a.m. at the Bedford Tharp Funeral Home (320 N Bridge St., Bedford, VA) on Tuesday, Jan. 7.

We know, Hunter, you're riding like you're at The Garden up in heaven.
