We had an awesome weekend for our trial, despite what the weather man said. I am glad that they were wrong! Thanks for all the help to make it run smoothly. A big thanks to Scott Minke and Elizabeth Staley for some great judging and secretary work.

Liberty Hill Barn Hunt Club trials this weekend in Bedford as of WEDNESDAY 3/12 at 3pm has about 10-12 runs available Friday, 4-6 Saturday and 15 or so on Sunday depending on the level of the dog.

I have an older client who has a wonderful 8-month-old golden retriever. He has decided that he is too old to take care of her properly. He is going in for knee surgery in a couple of months and will be even less able to care for her. I have done some training with her and really enjoyed working with her. She learns quickly. If anyone is interested in learning more about her, please let me know.

We finally have finished setting up the barn hunt ring. Back in business!

We have carried all the straw into the building and have started building new courses. I am doing a separate master and senior tunnel this time which means that I ran out of boards so there will be a delay while we paint more boards. I finished the open and master tunnels.

Rubber mattin got here yesterday. We finished laying it down today. Now we need to wait for temps to go up a bit before we can tape it.

The concrete floor will be put in tomorrow and Wednesday. I am hoping that we will be back in business for the Barn Hunt for February Run Thru. I will post pictures when I get them.

December's Barn Hunt Run Thru will be on December 7th starting at 9 am. We will not be having one in January due to the pouring of a concrete floor. February is a maybe. We will be starting Barn Hunt classes on February 20th.

We are having a Barn Hunt Run Thru this Saturday starting at 9 am. The one next month has been changed to December 7th. That will be the last one until March 1st. We are having some concrete work done in the building.

We are filling up in some of our September classes. We still have openings in our Beginning Barn Hunt Class starting at 6 pm on September 5th. I have added an Advance Barn Hunt Class at 5 pm. The 7 pm class is full; however, a few people in that class can change times if you want to take the class and are not able to do the 5 pm time. We are also starting a puppy class for dogs 7 to 18 weeks on September 16th at 7 pm. Finally, we are also offering a Beginning Obedience classes starting on September 26th at 6 pm and Advanced Obedience at 7 pm. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Our first trial here in Bedford went well. We had very few bugs to work out and other than the wind on Friday and the heat on Sunday, people seem to enjoy themselves.
