Now this is a unique training opportunity! 🐔🐶👏

Jordi got the chance to put her skills to the test with a flock of chickens providing plenty of entertainment on the other side of the fence. Experiences like this are great for building confidence, focus, impulse control, and teaching dogs to remain calm around distractions.

Training isn't just about teaching commands. It's also about helping dogs learn how to navigate the world around them. New animals, unfamiliar sights, strange sounds, and exciting distractions all provide valuable learning opportunities.

Lacy, SD Sig, Jovie, Carl, and Murphy helped our therapy team wrap up its final visit of the school year at T. Clay Wood Elementary School! 🐶

School visits are one of our favorite ways to connect with the community, and it's always rewarding to see the positive impact these dogs have on students. We are grateful for another wonderful year of visits and look forward to returning next school year!

A big milestone for Chloe! 👏🐶

This was Chloe's very first public training outing, and she absolutely crushed it! Public environments introduce all kinds of new sights, sounds, smells, and distractions, making them an important step in any dog's training journey.

Chloe did a fantastic job staying focused and working through the new environment and received tons of compliments on her behavior from people she met along the way. 🐾

Chester enjoyed some time by the lake soaking up the sunshine and taking in the views. Between training sessions, it's important for our dogs to get out and experience new environments while building confidence and enjoying the world around them.

Jordi is making great progress in her training! 🐶

Jordi the Mini Aussie has been working on loose leash heel, sits when stopping, and building the foundational obedience skills that will set her up for success moving forward.

Beyond the obedience itself, training sessions like these help build confidence, engagement, and a better understanding of how to navigate the world calmly alongside her handler.

Indigo completed training with us about a year ago and has returned for boarding. We always love seeing our past trainees come back and getting the chance to spend more time with them.
