We grow strawberries, raspberries, U-pick dahlias, pumpkins, winter squash, gourds, corn, Christmas trees & wreaths. Strawberries,raspberries, and pumpkins sold at our Day Road Farm. U-pick Dahlias, corn, and U-cut and pre-cut Christmas trees sold on our Manzanita Road Farm.

We are officially in full bloom mode! Come by this weekend to drink in the visual bouquet and take a physical bouquet too :) We are open until 4pm today (Friday), and 10am-5pm both Saturday and Sunday! Swipe through for a panoramic look at the fields 😍

We hate to see them go but we love to watch them leave. Friends, it’s the last day of Raspberries at the berry stand for the summer! We will be open until we sell out for the day. It’s been a good but weird season, not having U-pick, fighting flocks of birds, and some very warm days in our stand. We hope you have filled your freezer with more berries than you think you need for the berry-less months ahead! Thank you all for supporting us and checking in constantly about the u-pick. We do plan to open u-pick berries next year! If we find any lingering ripe berries, we’ll have them available at the dahlia shed during our standard field hours over there - **Wednesdag through Friday 10am-4pm, and Sat/sun 10-5.

ISLAND GROWN. There is something special about growing up on an island. Whether you’re a berry growing for a short summer season, or a human growing through the seasons of life, being surrounded by water creates an ideal environment to grow with joy. Kid’s tees are available at the berry stand, every day we’re open over there. We’ll have them back in the dahlia shed once we close the berry stand for the season. Size Youth XS-XL. In a pickle about where to find pickling cucumbers? Our neighbor, Mike at Paulson Farms has you covered! He’s got all the small cucumbers you could possibly want to throw in a jar. Make your pickling dreams come true this year with the help of a small local farmer near you! Paulson Farms also has some early season tomatoes, green beans, summer squash, zucchini, salad greens, and more to bring color and nutrients to your meal. Their address is 13670 Manzanita Rd, follow the signs around to the self-serve cooler and you can pay by cash, check, or Venmo. **Note** the cucumbers don’t come pre-brined, the first photo is just an example of how Mike brines his!

Raspberry notice! We are open today at the Berry stand but will be CLOSED tomorrow. We plan to be open Friday as well. We still have Olympic berry canes for sale so you can grow your own rare PNW berries! We also have amazing porcelain garlic as well as other veggies from Paulson Farms. We will be open until we sell out of berries, so if you need raspberries (and who doesn’t need raspberries?!) today and Friday are the days to get to the stand early. At the dahlia field, we are open today through Sunday - we open at 10am at our Manzanita property. Follow the yellow signs!

We have been busy in the time spent between harvesting and irrigating our farm spaces! Three fun events we’ve participated in lately: Strawberry Fields Forever documentary showing with a panel Q&A featuring our very own Karen Selvar (first image). Thank you to Gina Corpuz and Ron Stewart who produced the documentary that featured our farm history along with other historic farms on the Island. We also hosted BIJAC, the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Community’s potluck dinner (photos 3-6), as well as Antioch University’s English Language Learning program (photo 7) at our Manzanita property. It’s been a busy summer for us, and we’re excited about more fun things happening at the farm this August!

Who wants to grow Olympic berries in their own garden?? This week we have potted Olympic berry plants for sale! We have a very limited number available so if you are interested, you can swing by the dahlia field today or the berry stand tomorrow morning to grab your plant while we still have them! Olympic berries are a hybrid of the phenomenal berry (black/raspberry hybrid) and the native PNW blackcap raspberry. They are perfectly suited for the environment of Bainbridge and surrounding areas. The berry was first introduced on Vashon Island in the 1920s, and we are one of only 2 places to purchase your own plant.

Raspberry Update: our raspberry plants are starting their natural waning cycle. This means we may have days with no berries, and some days with high yields, so we will be transitioning to less predictable hours at the berry stand. Today is a high yield day - we’ve got oodles of cascade raspberries at the stand right now. Tomorrow, the berry stand will be closed. If you were considering making jam or freezing berries, now is the time to stock up. Our dahlia y-cut field will be open tomorrow 10-5pm!

Farm happenings this weekend: Open at both locations today, Friday July 24th. 9-5pm at the berry stand on Day Rd, 10-4 at the dahlia field on Manzanita Rd. Saturday - open at both locations again, 9-5 at the berry stand, 10-5 at the dahlia field. Sunday - CLOSED AT THE BERRY STAND, OPEN at the dahlia field from 10-5!

We have pre-made bunches of dahlia stems. These are great options for those in a hurry or picking stems for an event. We pick these early in the morning, when the blooms are at their best. Contact us if you are looking for stems in large quantities or certain varieties.

And we’ve got massive heads of Porcelain garlic grown by Mike Paulson. This is a great roasting garlic, and you can grow your own from any extra cloves :)
