The last of our wonderful techs are Jess, Siya, and Paige!!
Jess has her two kitties Auggie and Clover, and her dog Mila (pictured). Her favorite part about being a vet tech is “Obviously loving on all the animals, but also helping to relay important information to owners about their pets. It sucks to see animals in pain and discomfort but on the other hand when we are able to treat them and see them back and they are healthy is a great feeling!” She says her favorite things to do around Austin are “going to concerts, doing art/taking my dog to zilker park, kayaking, going to pop up events around Austin!”
Siya is also one of our newer additions. She’s pictures with her Boston terrier, Mars. Her favorite part about being a vet tech is “getting to help pets feel better, I love loving on other people pets because I know the doctor can be scary and overwhelming as an owner and the patient and I truly believe that every animal deserves compassionate care, I also really and I have loved learning so much, I’m glad I work with really awesome vets and other techs that help me grow as a person and a technician they teach me something new everyday!” Around Austin she enjoys “looking for backyard critters and taking wildlife pics, I also love brunch, and going to local antique and thrift stores.”
Last up is Paige, our lead tech! Pictured is her late doggy Ender, who she says is her soul mate❤️ she currently lives with her kitty Kiko. Her favorite part about being a vet tech is “Being part of a team that functions with the capacity to efficiently triage life or death situations, hold the space for concern/sorrow over the decline or loss of a loved family member. Laughing and embracing the total joy, fun and silly moments of a new puppy/kitten or goofy, happy pet. Helping navigate an anxious pet/owner through a stressful situation with the least amount of anxiety as possible under the circumstances. Being able to show up and deliver excellence every single day in all metrics. Medical proficiency, client, patient, team empathy & compassion. Being part of something that is bigger than yourself.” Around Austin she enjoys being in nature, live music, and the restaurant scene!
