We’re endlessly grateful for our incredible rescue partners! Meet Rex—a gentle, affectionate new arrival at Houston Collie Rescue. This sweet rough collie pup is already winning hearts with his calm demeanor and soulful eyes. Though still growing into his oversized paws, Rex is destined to become a confident leader of the pack.

He recently visited us for his first wellness check, where we established care and gave him a few booster vaccines to keep him healthy and thriving. Since settling into his foster home just two days ago, Rex has been adjusting beautifully and showing all the signs of a happy, resilient pup.

Meet Topanga, yes... She is real! This beautiful baby boxer was brought in this past Friday for her first wellness check up. Healthy as ever, she didn't make it too far into our lobby before she was greeted by 6 open arms. We are so lucky we get to see her again later this week, as it was too soon for Topanga to get her vaccines. We love you Topanga!

We were so lucky to meet Sophie's newborn babies just 4 weeks after birth! Sophie (Mother) came in for a check-up after giving birth to her litter, leaving with a clean bill of health and a dose of her monthly prevention. Everyone is doing great!

We are happy to have Chica as a new patient here at VCA Northwest Hills Animal Hospital. Just look at this adorably sweet 10 week old Chihuahua, all 1.04lbs of her! We will be seeing her soon for her first round of vaccines. We are eager to watch her grow 🐾

Poor Sammy! This handsome boy got a little too close for comfort while investigating a mysterious visitor in his yard. Drawn in by curiosity, Sammy approached what turned out to be an uninvited skunk—and let’s just say, things escalated quickly. In a flash, Sammy was both bitten and sprayed, right in the face!

Immediately, his amazing owner brought him to an Emergency Care after hour facility to be seen for his puncture wounds on his muzzle and for being sprayed in the mouth. Once home, he received endless TLC with a medicated bath. Of course, he came to see us the next day for some antibiotics and several kisses from our team. He is on the mend, but still confused why that skunk had such a bad attitude!
