🚨 URGENT: MILTON NEEDS A HERO 🚨

I genuinely cannot understand how Milton is on the TOP of the AT RISK soon to be URGENT LIST for THIS WEEK!

This handsome 2-year-old puppy is everything people say they want: sweet, affectionate, playful, dog-friendly, and absolutely adorable.

I think Milton has simply been overlooked in a sea of dogs.

‼️Like many shelter dogs, kennel stress is starting to get to him. Some notes mention him being shy or fearful, or jumpy and mouthy but outside the kennel we saw a completely different dog. ‼️

‼️SHELTER NOTE- shy fearful level 2
When the barking got loud, Milton came looking for reassurance. He wanted affection, cuddles, and to be close to people.=shy fearful

‼️SHELTER NOTE- Jumpy & mouthy
REALITY: When he got excited for a treat right when he got out of the kennel and outside he jumped to get the treat, I mean but who wouldn’t when you are located in a kennel for days at a time. Then he calmed down and no longer was jumping

🚨Right now, DeKalb Animal Services is 59 dogs over capacity, and Milton is one of the dogs at the very top of the urgent list. His time is running out, and he needs a foster, adopter, Weekend Warrior, or rescue commitment this week.🚨

Please don’t let this sweet boy lose his life simply because he was overlooked.

Mary and I took these three at-risk dogs out of the shelter on Thursday, and all we could think was…

How are they still here?

These dogs are PERFECT.

🐾 Filbert – sweet, easygoing, dog-friendly, crate trained, and simply happy to be with people.

🐾 Bran – affectionate, gentle, dog-friendly, and a total cuddle bug who desperately needs a chance to shine again.

🐾 Ape – a calm senior gentleman who loves affection, walks beautifully on leash, and just wants a soft place to rest and someone to love.

Every one of them was well-mannered, loving, and grateful for a few hours outside of the shelter.

They don’t need much.
They just need OUT.

Please consider:🏡 Adopting🏡 Fostering🏡 Being a Weekend Warrior🏡 Taking them for a Dog for a Day outing🏡 Rescue Pull

Let’s give these sweet, overlooked dogs the chance they deserve before it’s too late.
A share takes seconds and could save a life. ❤️🐾

How would you tell him he’s not worth it?

How would you tell him he’s not enough?

How would you look into those eyes and tell him that after everything he’s survived, after every challenge he’s overcome, after fighting so hard to keep going, he’s just not worth it

How would you tell him he’s……
“no longer treatable”
(deemed by the clinic & vet )

“Not worth the cost “ of doing any bloodwork, without diagnostics, without answers?

“He isn’t worth the time” - to take a few extra minutes to examine him and see what’s going

How would you explain that to him?
—————————————————————————

💔 This is exactly what has happened to Mr. Squatch.

Without testing. Without answers. Without knowing what is truly wrong.

We refuse to give up on him.

On June 23, Squish will see a private veterinarian so we can finally get the diagnostics and answers he deserves. But we need your help to get him there.

🐾 HELP US GET ANSWERS FOR Mr Squatch aka SQUISH ❤️

Last week, Squish was labeled “NO LONGER TREATABLE ,” “NON- ADOPTABLE”,” and “Medical caution (not sure what that means) ” without any bloodwork, imaging, biopsy, or other diagnostic testing.

Krista and I are not willing to give up on him without knowing the full story.

On June 23, Squish will be seen by a private veterinarian for diagnostic testing so we can finally understand what’s really going on and determine the treatment he deserves.

The cost of this testing, appointments, follow-up care, treatment, and medications is entirely our responsibility,

Please help by donating to support Squish’s journey.

URGENT CLYDE NEEDS OUR HELP!
ADOPT OR FOSTER CLYDE TODAY!

🐾 We took CLYDE out for a Dog for a Day with Iverson, and these two were absolutely amazing. 🐾

Both dogs were completely non-reactive, loved being outside, and were just so happy to enjoy a break from shelter life.

Clyde is around 40 pounds—the perfect size. Not too big, not too small. He may seem a little shy at first, but all you have to do is sit beside him. Within minutes, he’s leaning in for affection, asking for hugs, and soaking up all the love he can get.

Outside of the shelter, Clyde is a completely different dog. The stress of shelter life has really gotten to him, but the moment he’s out, his true personality shines. He’s calm, gentle, loving, never barked once, doesn’t jump, and simply enjoys being with people.

The thing that breaks my heart is that Clyde has been waiting since December…….

Honestly, the only reason I can think of is that he’s a smaller dog in a sea of larger dogs. He’s easy to overlook when you’re walking through crowded kennels, but he absolutely shouldn’t be.

Clyde is the kind of dog who doesn’t demand attention—he quietly waits and hopes someone notices him.

SHELTER NOTES: “shy fearful “ & “ flight risk” large dog 50lbs

Vs

REALITY: sweet loving happy dog. DOG friendly, non reactive, walked great on a leash, gentle. Just looking for someone to give him a chance.
Small/medium maybe 40lbs at the most

And now, after all these months, this week could be his last.

He desperately needs a foster, adopter, or rescue to step up and give him the chance he deserves. He doesn’t need much—just a safe place, a little patience, and someone to love.

Please don’t let Clyde’s story end at the shelter. He deserves to know what it’s like to have a family, a couch to call his own, and people who love him.
