Mama Needs a home ❤️

Beautiful Mama is just a kitten herself—only 9 months old.

She did an amazing job raising her beautiful kittens, and every one of them has found a loving home. Now it’s finally Mama’s turn.

She’s ready to leave motherhood behind and just be someone’s baby. She’s over all the kitten chaos in the cat room and dreams of having a quiet home of her own. She craves attention, loves to be held, and would be happiest curled up in your lap, purring the day away.

More than anything, Mama wants a real window to watch the birds, a soft bed to call her own, and a family who will love her forever.

She desperately wants out of the store and into a home.

💔 Bonnie and Clyde have been through more than any dog should.

They’ve been passed from shelter to shelter, and with every move, you can see a little more of their spirits begin to fade.

When they’re outside, they’re happy, playful, and full of personality. They chase toys, soak up attention, and remind you exactly who they are.

But back in the kennel… they’re starting to look like different dogs.

The constant noise, uncertainty, and waiting are taking a toll. No dog is meant to live like this.

They don’t need another shelter. They need a chance to finally decompress in a loving home.

One Paw at a Time Rescue would love to help Bonnie and Clyde, but we need a committed foster to step up first. By fostering, you won’t just be changing their lives—you’ll also be creating space for another dog in the overcrowded shelter who desperately needs help.

What a week it has been for One Paw at a Time Rescue. 🧡

This week, so many deserving dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens found the loving forever homes they’ve been waiting for. Every adoption is a reminder of why we do what we do and why this community means so much to us.

A huge thank you to PetSmart Charities and the incredible team at PetSmart for welcoming us, supporting our mission, and helping connect our animals with amazing families. Your kindness and dedication make such a difference.

Most importantly, thank you to every person who said “yes.”
Yes to adopting.
Yes to fostering.
Yes to volunteering.

Yes to believing every life is worth saving.

🐾 Peggy’s story could have ended very differently.

Peggy was dumped in someone’s backyard while very pregnant. We weren’t sure if our rescue was ready to take on a pregnant mama, but an incredible foster with experience stepped up to help.

Thank goodness they did.

Just days after arriving in foster, Peggy gave birth. Every single puppy survived, including the tiny runt who needed around-the-clock bottle feedings to make it.

Now, these sweet babies are almost 4 weeks old, and today they had their very first taste of gruel. Watching them grow has been nothing short of amazing.

The boys have already been pre-adopted, but Peggy and her little girls are still looking for their forever homes!

Sometimes all it takes is one person saying “yes” to change an entire family’s future. Peggy and her puppies are living proof. ❤️🐾

UPDATE: Foster Found! 🎉🎉

💔 URGENT: Bella Needs a Foster or Forever Home 💔

Do you remember …..?

He is legally blind, deaf, and gets around with a walker. Months ago, we tried finding him companionship by bringing him two kittens. Sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts, the kittens were simply too tiny and frightened. They found a hole in the laundry room wall where they spent their time hiding. We eventually trapped them safely, and they’re now in foster care.

We still believed he deserved the unconditional love of a companion.

Then Bella came into his life.

For the past six months, Bella has been exactly what he is needed—a loyal friend, a comforting presence, and a reason to smile.

Tragically, he recently suffered a devastating fall. He is currently in the ICU and is unresponsive. Right now, we don’t know what the future holds.

What we do know is that Bella needs our help immediately.

Bella is a female who is very sweet. She is shy at first and takes a little while to warm up, but once she trusts you, she absolutely loves attention. She just needs someone willing to give her the patience and love she deserves.

Bella must be out of his condo before the 26th, and she has nowhere to go. She needs either a temporary foster or, even better, a forever home.
