Meet Grayson🩷

Grayson has been a part of the South Athens Animal Clinic team since August 2024 while attending the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Some of her favorite memories at the clinic have been during the holiday season — from the Christmas party and festive decorations around the clinic to meeting the Shiver’s new kitten, Misterchievous!

Sommer has been part of the South Athens team for a little over three years! She loves that our clinic prioritizes fear-free practice and says it’s been amazing to see how dedicated our staff is to creating safe, positive experiences for every animal. 🌸 Spring is here… and so are seasonal pet hazards! 🐾

From toxic plants to lawn chemicals, spring can bring hidden dangers for our furry family members. Keep an eye out for:

🌷 Lilies, tulips & other toxic plants
🧪 Fertilizers, w**d killers & insecticides
🍫 Chocolate & xylitol treats
🧼 Cleaning products & chemicals
🍄 Wild mushrooms & standing water

🚨 Signs of toxicity can include:
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Drooling
• Tremors or seizures
• Lethargy
• Loss of appetite

If you think your pet may have gotten into something toxic, contact your veterinarian right away.

A little prevention goes a long way toward a safe and happy spring! ☀️🐶🐱
