Reigning Cat and Dogs Rescue We are a foster based 501c 3 ALL breed dog rescue based in northern Indiana USA. Big focus on spay/neuter and heartworm prevention. This rescue is my lifeline.

Hi everyone! I wanted to let you know that the owner of Papa Ducks in Angola gave me the ok to put some of the Foltz Bakery sugar cookies in their bakery window at the gas station. 50% of the sales goes to Reigning Cat and Dogs Rescue so you get to enjoy a sweet treat as well as feel good about helping a dog in need. This is the last week to get these cookies. I hope you'll stop in and grab one before Sept. 1st.

8 year old Maude is a happy, little pomeranian. She is fixed, vaccinated, and dewormed. She is a loveable little lapdog around 10lbs in weight. She can be a picky little eater but her foster mom is finding some ways to get her to eat and will be happy to pass along info to Maude's new parent. Maude has started playing with toys and learning basic house manners. She keeps a clean crate and potties outside on a strict schedule. If you are looking for a sweet older dog, Maude may be the one for you! She gets along with other dogs and will learn to tolerate a cat. Eddy is the last of the spitz mix puppies. He is 12 weeks old, dewormed, has age appropriate vaccinations, and is microchipped. His expected weight is under 40 lbs. His exact mix is unknown, but mom was a 20lb spitz. Google guessed him tk be a sheltie/spitz mix, so we will go with that. Eddy is a sensitive little guy who just wants all your love and affection. Dont forget that all month long you can grab some yummy sugar cookies at Foltz Bakery and 50% of the profits goes to Reigning Cat and Dogs Rescue. Kirby has been here her whole 18 mo of her life, just waiting to be adopted. She is a fantastic, loving, loyal dog! She is dominant over food but otherwise great with other dogs. It's absolutely heartbreaking to think of her spending another winter here. She's mildly energetic but not over the top. A couple of walkies a day and a good burnoff on occasion will be enough to make this girl happy. As long as she has love and food and water in her new home, she will be ever so grateful. Millie and Creed have been adopted! They each have wonderful new homes. Creed's new mom and dad were able to adopt within hours of applying since they had a verifiable, consistent vet history.
Millie's new mom had to wait a couple of days only because someone backed out on her yesterday. My process is simple. You just need to verify that you are a responsible human being. Congratulations, Creed and Millie!

Caramel is a 5 year old breeder surrender. She is not really warming up to the other dogs but she isn't aggressive to them either. She just growls if the are being disrespectful and she is allowed to express her discomfort to them as long as she isn't hurting anyone. The dogs here are respectful of her warnings and have been backing off. Cockers do tend to need a warm-up, and after some time, they will grow a bond with all their housemates. You have to be willing to let them express their discomfort vocally, and the other pets and humans need to respect her space and need to decompress and get settled in. Absolutely no, allowing her to sit on you or higher than you anywhere in the house as this may lead to resource guarding in the end. You want her to feel comfortable, but she needs to do that on the floor in her own bed or crate. So far, she seems housetrained. There were no accidents in the house or office last night or today. Caramel will go in for spay asap and get all her shots, heartworm test, microchip, and get on heartworm prevention. Please pm your interest and email address to the page for an application
