We are a foster based 501c 3 ALL breed dog rescue based in northern Indiana USA. Big focus on spay/neuter and heartworm prevention. This rescue is my lifeline.

Finding great homes for each dog is the main goal. If only humans were as faithful as dogs....

Is it a house hippo or a little mermaid in an ocean of blue? Either way she is absolutely adorable and ready for her forever home! Sinead is a 4 year old English Bulldog who has been living in a barn as a puppy producer much of her adult life. After enduring C- section after C-section to produce litter after litter of puppies she is now needing a loving home where she can be pampered. I am hoping an approved applicant comes to meet her this weekend. Until someone gets on the schedule to meet her I will still continue to process applications for her. If you have an application in but have not heard back your application may have accidentally been deleted so please send it in again.

Do I have any doberman lovers in the house? Jetta is an 18 week old purebred puppy surrendered due to no fault of her own. Her owners circumstances shifted, they no longer had property or a home for her. They had fallen on hard times and were living in a campground. They want Jetta to have a better life that includes the training they no longer had time to give her. She was a loved pet but just not the right time for a new puppy for them. She will only go to someone who will take her through training for obedience and someone who has plenty of time to spend with her. She is a very loyal & loving dog who needs plenty of socialization and structure. She loves other dogs, will acclimate to cats, and children if you socialize her with them. She's a puppy!
Doberman experience is preferred but will consider all well informed applicants. Please private message me for an application to adopt.

If I sent you a link to our new application and you are one of the 14 people to actually completed the application and send it back you'll need to re send the application because they were all accidentally deleted. We tried to recover them...but it is just not possible. The good news is you should be able to just re send it. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Starting November 1st I will be charging a $2 application fee since I have sent out hundreds of applications but rarely get them back and my time is valuable too. I am paying a premium to have this new application available so it is easy for everyone to use. It is way better than our previous application. If you are interested in adopting any of these great dogs please send a pm to the rescue's fb page. Thank you!

Absolutely ridiculous that I had to drive 90 min. to a vet today for a simple Proheart 12 injection! Don't get me wrong, I love this vet! She has ruined me for all others except HSEC of course. I just wish there was another one closer.
Are there no ethical veterinarians in LaGrange, Steuben, or any surrounding counties? A 90 min drive for an $80 shot that can be given to a dog that is heartworm positive or negative is worth it, but I sure wish I could find a good, rescue friendly vet closer for these kinds of things. One that doesn't feel it is ok to rip dogs open for a c-section over and over again and not simply spay them instead!
We use HSEC for most of our vetting now but need someone local for out of the ordinary stuff like nares, soft pallet, dentals, prohearts, etc.

Please consider adopting Minion!
Everyone going crazy over Misty while Minion just sits here just baffles me. She's a pomeranian/Shih-tzu mix around 6 years old. Very playful, gentle, and crate trained. She will let you know when she needs to go out potty but you need to be paying attention. Minion needs a warm up with other dogs but will eventually play with them as scene in her videos. Minion is very affectionate and loves to lap sit but also is active, exploring on walks, and gets the zoomies playing with her friends and her toys. She jas loads of personality that will make you smile. Minion gets scared and cries if you pick her up too fast, or her leash gets hung up on branches and things. She needs a soft touch and gentle words to help settle her when she's scared. I think Minion will be fine with cats and well mannered children. Her best fit will be a mature home with kids older than toddlers, that likes to nurture and pamper their pets.
Minion weighs about 10lbs and needs light grooming to keep her bottom clean.
Please pm your interest and email address to the rescue's fb page for an application to adopt.

Brittany has worked very hard on an application that is easier for everyone! I can send a link in comments now and hopefully find your apps in my files. It's new for me so it will be a process to learn but I am willing do do what is necessary to streamline this process for my adopters. Let's here it for Brittney Williamson! I'm so lucky to know her!
This the only pic I have of us together!...lol.

MISTY IS NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS.

Misty is a 5 year old owner surrendered pomeranian. She is housetrained and great with all ages. Misty needs a mature, quiet home. She's not big on exercise and needs to loose a few lbs. Misty is very quiet, and laid back. She loves to cuddle and lap sit. She was a pampered loved pet but her owners were facing eviction if she stayed so, they sadly gave her up. Misty is fixed, Microchipped, hw-, and up to date on basic vaccinations. Misty is good with other dogs, and cats. If you have a calm, quiet home and a warm lap for her then Misty would like to get your application. Please pm your interest to the rescue's fb page for an application to adopt.
